) - A federal judge in Texas said the Trump administration sought to "blatantly judge-shop" to evade a ruling he had issued rejecting its request for a warrant that would allow U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement to raid a business to detain migrants who are not authorized to work in the U.S.
U.S. Magistrate Judge Andrew Edison in Galveston leveled that claim in an opinion published on Monday, opens new tab in a fight over the ability of immigration authorities to use administrative inspection warrants to conduct roundups of migrants who are in U.S. illegally working at private businesses.

You need a search warrant signed by a judge to enter private property and private areas of businesses (which also includes parking lots that are considered private and have gates or other barriers to general public access.

Administrative warrants are like no warrant at all you can arrest someone in public without having any warrant.

An administrative warrant gives you no more power than if you had no warrant at all. ICE doesnt need one for public areas
So anyone who bitches about ICE arresting people in public while refusing to show a warrant is a moron, talking out of their ass, with no comprehension of the law or ICE's statutory authority?
