The reason for the question mark is because we all know trump did nothing wrong, he's the most honest man in the world, according to him.

Trump's first CRIMINAL trial, let that sink in my Republican counterparts and all you whining about it won't change a thing.

Everyone knows the criminal trial on 34 felonies is about Trump committing serious crimes to try to steal the 2016 presidential election, right?

I mean, we’re clear on it having nothing to do with his family or propriety, only lying to American voters, right?

Jury selection (voir dire / maybe two weeks) begins today in New York for the criminal trial of Donald Trump, indicted for 34 counts of felony falsification of business records.

Trump says he will testify, but I cannot believe that any competant defense team would want to have this client answering questions while under oath.

Since this is a criminal proceeding, Trump is required to be in attendance. Will Trump/his attorney's violate the gag order? That remains to be seen.

Roughly 500 prospective jurors have been notified, and each will fill out a 42 question questionaire regarding their affilliations/views.

I think this trial principally rests on an honest jury with no clandestine MAGA individual onboard to "hang" the jury (resulting in a mistrial).

If the jury honestly listens to and votes on the evidence/testimony presented during the trial, I believe Donald Trump will be convicted.

Reuters stream, currently waiting for Trump to leave Trump tower. There will not be a live stream from the courtroom.

Without the Liberal witch hunt there would be no show.

You're blaming a reaction, and ignoring the cause behind the effect. Why?

Also, we're both adults here, let's leave fairy tales about witchs and hunts out of it, please.

Trump was FINE until he ran for president, so there's that. IF he was such a "criminal" where was the liberal circus then? OH, many were asking him for donations

Court this morning may start with a hearing over what prosecutors can ask Trump during cross-examination should he take the stand later in the trial.

The judge would hear arguments from both the people and the defense. The proceedings would then move into jury selection later in the morning.
