Correction: according to everyone interviewed who knew him, he was a Trump-supporting Republican Christian Fundy.

I do not think anyone would care if he was a snake-handling Baptist or a Holy Roller if he was not also a supporter of lawless authoritarian nationalism.

I think the socialist commentator Vaush had it right. Whenever right-wingers disingenuously pretends that right-wing violence is actually left-wing violence, it is for a very simple reason: They want more violence and they want to kill you.

I have not read everything written on this threat. At any point did you falsely claim or repeat the false claim that the shooter was a left-winger, cAPSLOCK? Because if the shoe does not fit, do not wear it.

I did not. In fact I believe I made the case that these things are better to "wait and see".

But I do not think it is right to accuse even those who did jump the gun as people who wish for the death of those they disagree with.

As I said that is dangerous and dehumanizing. And some on the right would be doing the same thing were the tables turned.
 
I'm not buying his roommate's story for a minute. They lived together, and I'm sure the killer gave this man a lot of reasons to believe that he was dangerous and armed with guns. In the interview, this guy goes out of his way to make the point that he wasn't involved, and I don't believe it.
