This is how the Victory day parade on may 9, which took place in Belarus, was shown on ukrainian TV:

*
A black square runs across the screen and covers the red victory banners, veterans' awards, and other images that are dangerous for the nazis. On the square is written: "Prohibited by censorship according to the law on decommunization". Goebbels applauds furiously. Dirty fascist scoundrels.

Stalin murdered millions of Ukrainians in the 1930's and tens of thousands thereafter. Why would they join in any celebrations?

Victory Day? The Russians would have been defeated without the US Lend Lease.

Why would they celebrate the defeat of the Nazis? I get that Ukraine sees the folks who fought for the Axis as heroes, but that’s a particularly telling question.

It also doesn’t help your case that Ukraine’s celebration of the SS is “no big deal”.

Eh....possible, but not likely. Lend lease certainly helped immensely, but the Eastern Front came down to things breaking one way or another for the troops in the field— and those were the Soviets and the Nazis(and their allies and collaborators).

I thought at least here you will keep silent, but the little goebbels in you could not resist and broke through to the surface...

Sickening. Ukraine should be excluded from ever joining NATO and the EU. And Lithuania should be thrown out of those two organizations too.

Is that the hammer and sickle? Jeez, the one symbol more disgusting and responsible for even more death and carnage than the swastika, why would anyone fly such a thing? Speechless.

Lend lease actually started working in tangible numbers in 1943. After Moscow and Stalingrad.

Citation please.

No one just believes assertions from someone who named themselves Stalin.

IDK about tangible numbers, but of the 17.5 million tons of supplies delivered to the USSR during WW2, roughly 84% of it arrived in 1943 and after.

In August 1941 the United States Merchant Marine (a civilian auxiliary to the Navy) began transporting supplies to the Soviet Union. There were 78 convoys between August 1941 and May 1945. About 1,400 merchant ships delivered essential supplies to the Soviet Union under the Lend-Lease program, escorted by ships of the Royal Navy, the Royal Canadian Navy, and the U.S. Navy. Cargo included tanks, fighter planes, fuel, ammunition, raw materials, and food. The early convoys in particular delivered armored vehicles and Hawker Hurricanes to make up for shortages in the Soviet Union. In addition to the supplies delivered (3,964,000 tons), the Murmansk convoys tied up a significant number of German naval assets and aircraft. There were also supply convoys (1942) to Russia through Iran/Azerbaijan (4,225,858 tons) and the 1942 Bering Strait route (452,393 tons).

The Soviets started Barbarossa with the largest tank fleet and air force in the world; the problem wasn't a lack of hardware it was the complete lack of skill of the Soviet personnel trying to use them, as well as the general lack of skill-at-arms across the entire Red Army.
