Should ICE be Allowed to Prevent an Immigrant Child from Receiving Cancer Treatments?

The children have cried each night and prayed “for God to take them out of the detention center,” according to court documents.

The mother claims that the federal government did nothing to monitor her son’s leukemia for days.

Her lawyers have also sought the boy’s release for medical treatment, a request that was not fulfilled.

Isn't denying medical care illegal?

The boy is not receiving cancer treatments, so ICE didn't prevent them.

ICE isn't responsible for providing follow up monitoring for cancer that is not there anymore.

Sorry lady...sorry kids...but your asylum request is rejected. Off you go back to your own country.

ICE is an illegal gestapo unit operating on our streets. Every last member needs to be hunted down and prosecuted when we get a dem admin in 2029.
ICE seems to be recruiting the same police rejects that would have joined BATF under a Democrat administration.

Given their talent at picking the very cases that will create the greatest public sympathy for the migrants, are we sure they are not Progressive Agents Provocateurs?

Should insurance companies?

Should anyone?

ICE has as much business determining medical care for an innocent child as RFK Jr. does....NONE.

How do you know he would not have received treatment at his missed appointment?

The woman had a June 5 medical appointment scheduled for her son’s cancer diagnosis, which he couldn’t attend because of the arrest.

I don't know. I have no idea what would happen at his periodic cancer follow up appointments.

You don't know? Then why did you post this? Did you hope no one would notice you were posting garbage to score points?

ICE should go after the real criminals instead of waiting around in court room lobbies trying to pounce on people who are trying to follow our immigration rules.

I posted that because, according to the article, it's true.

“Fortunately, the minor child in question has not undergone chemotherapy in over a year, and has been seen regularly by medical personnel since arriving at the Dilley facility,” McLaughlin said.

That's not what you posted. You said "The boy is not receiving cancer treatments". There are other treatments for cancer besides chemotherapy.

Give it up, you don't know what you are talking about.

There was no mention in the article about the boy receiving other treatments. Are you saying he is? If so, present the facts.

The worst of the worst.

I'm sure this 6-year old has gang tats and is a high ranking member of MS-13.

If he dies of cancer we'd all be better off.

There was nothing in the article that he said he wasn't receiving treatments. Didn't you just post that he is not receiving treatments? If so, present facts.

Paywall, but that's just as well given that it is the LA Times.

Are all LEGAL American children getting cancer treatment?

Well there's the dumbest comment of the day.
I am totally open to a discussion. Are all American children with cancer getting treatment?
