From an infomercial extolling the work of a Texas dentistry practice to an anti-drug ad campaign called Meth. We’re on It, South Dakota governor Kristi Noem has made a number of head-scratching choices during her time in public office. Probably the most head-scratching to date? The decision to vividly detail killing her pet dog, as well as a goat, in a new book out next month.

This is as sick as it gets. She ought to be in an institution. And this thug wants to be VP? Go ahead Donald, name her and see what happens.

There is already a thread on this.

One ideological box that somehow needs to be checked for a lot of righties is killing things. I don't mean in the Jeffrey Dahmer let's torture rabbits to death kinda way, but killing feral nuisance animals, going on trophy hunts, and other violent shit. Only slightly less creepy are those AR-15 family gatherings around the fireplace as they pose for Christmas cards.

I hate to be controversial on this but I grew up on a farm. Farmers don't take animals to the vet for euthanasia.

The law here allows gunshot euthanasia of pets and livestock as long as it is done humanely.

Well except for the fact that the dog wasn't ill or vicious.

A 14-month-old dog? Don't they have adoption shelters around there somewhere? I don't care what the law says, it's just wrong. She's a redneck bitch who belongs where her dog is now!

I take that back, because her dog is in doggy heaven. She's going the other way.

On our farm the vet drove out for the deeds. We didn't own any guns, but even if we did, I don't think we would have done it that way.

But I'm sure you are judicious about the animals you put down? PLEASE tell me that. I'm crying, I have feral cats vying for my attention and I don't knpw how to deal with this. I started feed ign one feral cat, nowm there is another one, and I don't know what to do.

I just recently put my dog down at 16 years old. It was his time. I left the vets office with tears running down my cheeks. I just can't imagine the lack of basic human decency among some people.

Yeah, America will see what happens IF DJT picks Noem for a Veep.... Meanwhile, you're fear mongering.

Meanwhile, in the real world, we learn today that Biden’s Approval Rating Lower than Past Nine Presidents: Gallup :ROFLMAO:
Y'all have much more pressing things to worry about than a book. Dontcha' think? Tissue?

"The current average approval rating for President Joe Biden marks the lowest point not only for his own term but for the previous nine presidencies, according to a new Gallup poll. Biden averaged at 38.7 percent in the thirteenth quarter of his presidency, a historic new low that supplanted George H.W. Bush’s lowest record of a 41.8 percent average job approval rating, Gallup found in a survey published Friday. The incumbent also fell below his last two predecessors, Donald Trump and Barack Obama, which respectively averaged 46.8 percent and 45.9 percent at the same point in their first terms. The thirteenth quarter recorded for each president since 1956 began January 20 and ended April 19."

I thought I read that it was ill tempered and not good around people. That could have just been because of the company the dog was forced to keep.
;)

Try and stay on topic. This is not a campaign thread for Trump.

We never had to do it to any of ours. Neighbors and uncles had to sometimes.

Another horrifying fact of life on the farm - a stray dog harassing livestock gets shot on the spot.

It's a slippery slope!
