Voting records show many in the "Stop the Steal" cult that stormed the Capitol didn't even vote in the 2020 election

An investigation into those arrested for their participation in the deadly Capitol attack on January 6th shows an interesting pattern. Many of the participants who claimed they were there to protest the results of the election they deemed to be stolen didn't even vote.

Donovan Crowl is a 50 year old former Marine who donned paramilitary gear to participate in the attack. His own mother described him as a Trump supporter who had claimed they were going to overtake the government if they they tried to take the presidency away from him. Despite the obvious passion, election records in Ohio show Crowl was removed from the voter rolls in 2020 because of a lack of participation. He registered in 2013, but wasn't a voter.

The story is filled with many examples of Trump supporters who made their views known on social media, were clearly angry enough about the situation to storm the Capitol, but were apparently too lazy or brainwashed to go and actually perform their civic duty and vote. Perhaps if more of them would have concentrated on getting out the vote instead of LARPing as revolutionaries, their candidate may not have lost by 7 million votes nationwide.

Okay, so why do they think they have a beef in this if they didn't vote (and maybe if they had vote the result would have been different).

On the other hand I get it, why should they vote. They don't believe in democracy.

The point was that those whackjobs were willing to attempt to overthrow an election they didn't even see fit to vote in.

That would be like me, a 49ers fan, rioting because the Buccaneers win the Super Bowl this year, as if I had a dog in the fight.

That said, the fact that you missed (or more likely flat out ignored) the point is of no surprise to anyone.

Why do you keep bringing up the number 25 as if that is the number that attacked the Capitol and killed or injured almost 150 police officers?

Do you think making up random numbers makes you look intelligent or informed?

140+ officers faced injuries including stabbings, spinal trauma, the loss of an eye, and bludgeoning that later resulted in death. Numerous videos show officers being beaten by the crowd.

You can choose to ignore reality if you want to. It's par for the course for most conservatives.

Where is this 25 number coming from?
By phony hysteria, you mean the pipe bombs, weapons, zip ties and thousands of emails/postings by Team Trump supporters about the carnage they intended to wreak that day and during follow up riots?
And can you link me to the order from Pelosi re: subsequent guarding of the Capitol?

What connection are you trying to make here?

On the one hand, you have people rioting over unfair treatment of black people by law enforcement.

On the other hand, you have people trying to actively overthrow the government because they didn't like the outcome of the election.

One is a legitimate concern, the other is a bunch of babies who don't understand or respect democracy.

I don't read the lying WaPo. They just make crap up. They could say 1500 were killed and you would believe those morons who are twentysomething reject librals still living with daddy.
 
CNN ran with that story a bit too fast before really thinking about this.

One, we are talking about a small number of people that they found out did not vote for whatever reason. Two, they intentionally or not created a standard they will never hold liberals to.

The pipe bombs were by Antifa and BLM. There were very few scuffles. They were whack jobs who entered there after being invited in by the guards.

They were rioting over ONE black guy that was killed for FOUR effing MONTHS! No wonder America is sinking with this crazy rationality. So if there is a white cop that shoots a black guy, will they riot under Biden?

They were rioting so they could steal stuff and BLM and Antifa are thugs is why.

The rioters were just spoiling for an insurrection, that's all. They don't care about Trump or making America great any more than they care about a bum on the street.

You do realize that more than one black person was killed during that four months, don't you?

That is why the protests kept happening.....because the killings kept happening.

And yes, I would imagine that if a cop kills an unarmed black guy and gets a paid vacation again, there will be more protests. As there should be. Protests, that is....not riots.
