We reap what we sew! This is fantastic. I would love to see Allen get voted out of office. John Warner, I like. Allen, I don't!

Hey, Senator Allen, no one is buying your horse$hit story about how you didn't mean "macaca" to be a deragory name. LOL

Perhaps Allen is turning around now and stating that his "context" nullified macaca so that it's not racial. By calling Sadir "Mr. Macaca or whatever his name is" That is soooo obviously not racist.

Allen will win by 5 or 6 points no matter how much liberals play the race card......Book it.........

Yawn, yes np, you've repeated this over and over. But seemingly Allen has been constantly loosing ground in Virginia.
But then you're right, he does have the power of incumbancy.

I can't wait to hear Liberal whine when he is re elected in a landslide. It should be a lesson to you that the race card does not always work.......

So winning by 5 or 6 points = a landslide? Wow. I never knew that.

Since when did 5 or 6 points count as a landslide?
Race card? So you are now again back to denying that macaca is racist? In the other thread you had agreed already, are you cutting and running form your own admissions?

More recent polls have Webb in a slight lead:

Zogby/WSJ: July 24, 2006
Webb: 41.3% Allen: 51.9%

Zogby/WSJ: August 27, 2006
Webb: 47.9% Allen: 46.6%

Bad news for Allen.

It's going to take a helluva lot more then that slight lead (if you can call it a lead) to win against an incumbant.

You know, jfuh, you never know. John Kerry won in Northern Virginia for the first time in a presidential election since LBJ. Fairfax, Virginia, is a "blue" county, and has gotten only bigger since 2004 (there is a development that is going to be built near my home that Tom Davis tried to prevent because it's in his district, and he is afraid of losing his seat because it's democrats that will likely move to that new development because that is the trend with new development in the area). So I have a tiny bit of hope that Allen will lose. Will you allow me that, you b@stard?

;)

I'll allow you that and them some.
Virginia is blue country, and it is the blue country that is suffering most from this administrations policies - tax cut for the rich bla bla bla.
I would wish though that if Webb were to beat the racist Allen, that he win by NP's landslide, not just a few points, but a landslide. The dems are in a great position to take back congress, will they take it or will they let the GOP dictate the way the game is played?

Being an incumbant does mean a lot, but with the polls the way they are and seeing liberals energized as much as they are, I say there is a chance of Allen being defeated.

That was a very conservative estimate..........It will probably be double figures aps.....;)

Don't bet your house on it Alex.........

Ah I see what you're doing there, tough guy. You don't want to say 10 or more points in case you're wrong? Am I right, or am I right? ;)

I do not plan on betting my house on it, NP, you have my word. LOL

As Hannibal Lector once said Okey Dokey......

Latest poll shows Senator Allen's approval rating up to 51%...Not good news for dems if they want to unseat him........

http://notlarrysabato.typepad.com/doh/2006/03/new_poll_shows_.html

New poll shows VA approves of Allen
Column by Not Gretchen Bulova:

A Survey USA poll shows 51% of Virginians approving of the job George Allen is doing in the Senate, 31% disapprove, and 18% are unsure. Although certainly not great numbers, these numbers do signal that Allen will win re-election.

In order to defeat Allen in November, Democrats will need to lower his approval ratings into the lower 40's and bring his disapproval ratings into the lower

Wrong, approval ratings are one thing, voting numbers are another. He can have a good approval rating, but if not enough vote for him he's screwed.

BTW that goes for the dems too.

You left a ton of information out of that:

"In order to defeat Allen in November, Democrats will need to lower his approval ratings into the lower 40's and bring his disapproval ratings into the lower 40's. There are 2 basic ways to accomplish this.

The first, is Allen causing it himself. Stupid comments (i.e. Senator Bunning in Kentucky in 04),
stupid ads (i.e. Kilgore Death Penalty), and not campaigning. None of these seem likely as Allen is a seasoned campaigner with a top notch presidential staff working for him.

The most likely scenario is for the Democrats to go on the attack, go on the attack early and stay on the attack. Without negative ads directed at Allen's record, Democrats don't stand much of a chance. Even in this negative Republican political climate, the Democrats must go on the offensive to win in November.

P.S. Sorry I've been away so long!

March 30, 2006"

Notice one reason that he could screw it all up is "Stupid comments". He did that since this article was written, also notice the date: March 30, 2006.

Sorry, Navy Pride, your post is moot.

Read what the poll said............In order for Webb to win that approval rating has to drop a lot..........

You lost in RI tonight and you will lose here in November Lib....Get use to it.............
