I have a physical VA voter registration card that was issued to me only 3 years ago.

I just went to verify that I'm still registered, and upon trying to login, I was presented with this little gem:

I may not be able to prove it, but I'm convinced that this is directly related to Governor Younkin's illegal voter registration purge.

Unfortunately for him, I caught this in time to get re-registered before the election, in which I wasn't going to vote for him anyway. I'm also warning everyone I know about what he's been doing.

But they say they are only removing illegal migrants to stop all those fraudulent votes? Are you one of those? Or maybe you just didn't vote for the 'right people' last ti,e?

I’m betting if you had donated to the Republicans you wouldn’t have been purged.

I'm a near-50-year-old white dude who, other than Naval deployments, has lived his entire life in the U.S., including in the same county for 8 years and at the same address for nearly 4. I voted down-ballot D in 2022 to punish the Republicans including Younkin for their bullshit, so I bet that was it.

I’d tell them I’m a citizen do that again I’ll sue for civil rights violations

We have an estimated 20 million illegals in the country and to not be worried about protecting the right to vote for citizens is a mistake. Apparently the previous democrat governors were good with this since it was implemented under them. Odd how they want to change the rules now and how the Democrat DOJ wants to now file suit.

Amazing that Youngkin is following the very same state registration laws that were set in place by Governor Tim Kaine (D) in 2006 in the state of Virginia.

It's a violation of the National Voter Registration Act to change voter registration polls within 90 days of an election.

That law doesn’t tell him to violate federal law or strike citizens

How many have actually voted in the past few years?

I checked my eligibility earlier even though I vote every election, why, because I live in Republican controlled flori-duh.

The Virginia law is one passed by democrats in 2006, they did exactly the same thing under the democrat Governor.

You misspelled “executive order” from Aug 2024
The executive order from Youngkin was issued in August and what kicked this off. It’s also what he’s being sued over in several courts.

Great catch.

Thanks for setting the record straight. Too bad some of our posters don't know about Republican Youngkin's August EO.

Following Felon Donald, the Trumper Republicans will continue to go lower and lower.

What the Dems have always said their concern was is partisan R's removing legitimate voters from the rolls. Exactly as the OP reported happened to him, and exactly as the stats in other cases have shown. If the legislation was only used to clean illegal voters, and didn't make errors, especially partisan errors, everyone would be fine with it.
