:rofl talk about living in a different universe.
I spent tons of time in Europe when Reagan was President.
You folks were as equally hostile... and clueless back then.
You should be happy, and you are,... we have a president that dumps on the US, smiles with our enemies, and won't speak with the opposition at home.
You might say we have Jacques Chirac as head of the US... but there are some things I doubt even Chirac would do that Obama has.
Actions have costs, and unlike Reagan, who gave oppressed people hope, Obama gives The Oppressed good reason to be even more fearful.
Obama.. The Despot's Best Friend.
Willing to laugh and listen to despots crap all over America, but unable or willing to speak with the Rush Limbaugh, Obama's anointed leader of the opposition.
Despots "yes we can speak with you"... Conservatives... "no chance we will speak with you."
.
Rush bin Limbaugh a debater? more like a masterbater, he does not know how to debate. All he knows how to do is lambast, bombast, foam at the mouth, etc.
If he was offered a chance to do a REAL and properly moderated debate, he would come up with excuses to beg off.
When one person controls the microphone, it isn't a debate, and Rush cannot operate any other way...:2razz::rofl
I was an adult, early in my business career at the time and remember it well.So you are claiming that Europeans "hated" America just as much under Reagan as it did under Bush?
Totally clueless. And you are calling us clueless?
Please, slow down and try this again in English. You mean you had in Bush. How can it be Obama's fault that the US right has turned into the party NO! regardless of the topic?
In that one line you could decipher my entire understanding of Ch-Iraq?Haha, your view of Jacques Chirac is clueless.
No, I simply answered to something that was posted. And congratulations, you could not defend your views on Chavez, so you had to change the subject and turn it into a partisan crapfest so to kill the thread.
And so what? Most of the world is in some way hostile to the US thanks to Bush and the Republican party. The Swiss have an embassy in Tehran, does that mean the Swiss are the US enemies? I believe the Brits have an embassy there too.
Most of the world has been hostile towards us in some way since our inception.
It's Obama's turn now, and to think he's garnered all this loving in under 100 days!

Somewhere we should have a thread that documents his weekly accomplishments.
There are so many screwups... one forgets... and then some slip away... out of the memory bank as a whole wave of newbies emerge... and this forgetting is what they're counting on.

^^^^ The Audacity of Hope ^^^^^Obama sent a strong message to our real friends in the region when he **** all over Brazil in not signing the trade agreement.
Now with Obama joining the Hugo Chavez Book Club, it really gave Rosales no other option than to flee.
And another thread turns into a petty "let's bash Obama" waste of server space.
Anyone got any evidence that Rosales is clean and fleeing for political reasons rather than fleeing because he's actually got legit criminal reasons?
Some people here seem to think that because Chavez is a dictator, that everyone else suddenly became honest.
critisizm of chairman maobama will not be tolerated.
lets see them, or are you simply speculating again?
You may want to revisit the thread about forum suggestions. You are doing exactly what the majority of people voted as the #1 worst thing on this site.
And another thread turns into a petty "let's bash Obama" waste of server space.
Someone else suggested it and someone else said he fled because Chavez was after him. Neither side has currently provided any evidence of such a claims. However, historically, Venezuelan politics is not the cleanest in the hemisphere, thus providing some historical precedent for why a politician would flee.
Zimmer seems to think that because Chavez is a dictator (which I agree with) everyone else suddenly became clean (which is absurd) and has no reason to flee other than because Chavez is after them for purely political reasons rather than legitimate criminal justification.
Unlike the rest of you, I'm actually waiting for information on both rather than assuming whatever I want regardless of the actual facts.
Perhaps in the future, you should read the thread before jumping in blindly without any understanding of the subject merely hoping to score points against people who have destroyed your arguments in the past. Your post's utter and complete failure to take in the context is quite apparent.
