Venezuela still sits on Giant Oil reserves - perhaps THE Largest - but few (except China with little know-how) have invested since he Bullied/chucked the Western oil companies years ago.

Does anyone think selling gas at a few cents per gallon is not insane?

Hugo Chavez was a fighter for "the people," and thus, being given such status by the Left, is immune to reproach or critical analysis of his legacy of failure.

Despite being a populist of infamous proportions, Chavez really got his bang for buck internationally. To secure near totalitarian dominance domestically, it cost him gas sold at prices that will cripple his country for a generation or more. To secure international support, all it took was a few articles at wehatemaerica.blog.you'readumbass to garner tears from every corner of the Che worshipping earth.
