Paddock acted alone, left no suicide note or manifesto, and police found no evidence that he belonged to or supported any hate group or terrorist organization, domestic or foreign. He had no criminal record, and financially, he was indebted to no one, the investigation found.

Not much there either. Not really. No warning signs worth considering at all. It's not like carrying suitcases into a hotel is suspicious. The investigation did identify what it called “indicators of intent,” most of which authorities had previously reported.
Those indicators included a room Paddock rented but never checked into in August 2017 that overlooked Lollapalooza, an open-air music festival held in downtown Chicago’s Grant Park.
Police also pointed to three different rooms Paddock rented in September overlooking the Life is Beautiful festival in downtown Las Vegas. He stayed in those rooms, and surveillance footage captured him carrying several suitcases to each of them during his stay, similar to what he did at Mandalay Bay.

What's your point?
Just your average everyday white male?
If buying a lot of guns and ammo was flagged, that would have helped.
was he white?
watch him or (heaven forbid) have a law that bans you from buying a ****ing arsenal. How? What could the government have done to someone that's a everyman?
Ya
See how dangerous they re
Many serial killers are the "everyday man" too. You'd never suspect they were the one. Reminds me of the BTK serial killer.

1/10 as powerful as what? How would you measure that power?People don't need weapons 1/10th that powerful
We should get them off the streets

I can see that.It is sure scary when given as much time as they need and all the resources they can use our geniuses cant give us any insight into why this happened. I said at the front that this was motivated by a desire to go out in a blaze of "Glory" like a Hollywood summer blockbuster, it looks like that is all this was.
1/10 as powerful as what? How would you measure that power?
Constitution be damned, eh?
How many firearms does it take to have an arsenal? How much ammo counts as an arsenal? How many firearms did he actually use in the shooting? How many firearms does the typical mass shooter use in their crime?
How many firearms should any one person be allowed to own, and where would the government get the power to enforce that?
On no we should bans guns because of an statistically rare occurrence of someone who passed a background checked used a couple firearms to commit mass murder.Translation: Just another law abiding guy with a gun.

If they were only 1/10th as powerful he would have still been able to shoot 40-45 people? Still too much
Let congress decide what 1/10th is Thats not my job
The constitution was written by old white men just like him for them and for a different world
Things apply differently to the new world and the new people and they couldn't have known
Predictive analytics would probably get a good handle on what is red flag material.
Ah, you're just the idea guy. There are no calibers that are 1/10 as powerful as the .223.
And those old white men included a way to change the Constitution right in the Constitution. Did you know that?
Just your average everyday white male?
a BB gun?
And it's well past due isn't it?
Yes, just another unsaved savage barbarian for loving sin more than God.
