Vice President JD Vance has rejected a Supreme Court ruling by one of its most feted conservative judges after a Trump order that is pitting MAGA against MAGA.

He brushed aside the late Justice Antonin Scalia’s famous stance that torching the American flag is protected free speech, so that he could support Trump’s new crusade against flag burning.

Vance loyally backed Trump on Tuesday, but several MAGA names and Republican stars have sided with Scalia and his ruling, made decades ago in the Supreme Court.

Vance is again proving his loyalty is NOT to the people of the USA. He is nothing but a Trump sycophant.

I mean, for that particular case any opinion a conservative takes will disagree with one of the justices generally ranked very high by conservatives in Rehnquist or Scalia. Just as a liberal is in the unusual position of disagreeing with either Marshall and Brennan or John Paul Stevens.

I agree with the majority in Texas v. Johnson personally, but this was one that did not have clear partisan lines.

Vance is trying to look attractive to the magats so that he can step in when trump dies before leaving office. He is not loyal to trump; he just pretends to be.

It presents an interesting dilemma. JD doesn't have the loyalty that trump has. Can he get away with being as outrageous as trump is? I can see a scenario of republicans crossing the aisle once they don't have to be afraid of trump anymore.
