This is the testimony of Emily Kelly Callahan who was a nurse working for Doctors Without Borders inside Gaza for 3 weeks before being evacuated via the Rafah crossing.

She describes the dreadful conditions in Gaza and how the lack of safety, water, medical supplies and food are taking lives in droves.

She speaks of the tensions of being a westerner in a Gazan hospital in which many of the people coming in are angry at the international staff for their govts complicity in the crimes being perpetrated by the Israeli state and how the Palestinian health workers eased those tensions " with kindness and love".

They made sure she got through the crossing even though they were losing people " left and right" and knew their return could likely be to face imminent death.

She refers to them as " heroes" and the " most amazing people she has ever met".

They are choosing to stay and treat people even though they know the risks of becoming a fatality are high, they are driven by their sense of community she says.

The interview is with CNN

I really feel for the people of Gaza. Ukraine was very lucky that Poland was so welcoming to them fleeing from the war, it's a shame that Egypt wasn't as supportive. I hear other countries worry that leaving will hurt Palestinians chances at statehood after the war, but I fail to see staying and being bombed a good alternative.

I do believe the U.S. has stated it was interested in resettling Palestinians like we've done before, but that takes years to do, and the problem is immediate. It's unfortunate that a ceasefire can't be reached but I'm glad Biden was able to get a 4 hour a day window for aid through negotiations with Israel. That doesn't help with the bombing and the fire power troops, and terrorists on every side of them tho. Like everyone else, I'm at a loss of what to do. I doubt Israel will stop until the hostages are released, that's their condition and if Hamas continues their daily bombing I don't see a ceasefire in the horizon. There will not be any consequences to Israel for that until the damage is already done, after it's all over. Not soon enough to stop anything.

I've been busting my mental ass trying to find some sort of solution the UN, or diplomates can do to demand a ceasefire but so far I've got nothing. I heard somewhere that after Biden get's funding cleared he can hold it hostage from Israel with conditions of a ceasefire, but I'm not sure Israel is dependent on our funds at this point, nor if Biden will follow through on that suggestion. It's a complete ****ing mess at this point.

She is pretty hot... glad she got out of there.

She is pretty hot... glad she got out of there.
She is pretty hot, with balls the size of NYC to boot. Those nurses and doctors have my admiration. She must bungie jump and hang glide for fun. I don't know if I"m woman enough to do it. Thankfully we have brave people in this world. They have my thanks!

All of the Israeli apologists out there should be forced to watch this video.

"There is no safe place in Gaza" were her exact words.

So much for Israeli warnings- they are bombing everywhere.
70% of the population displaced.
Israeli bombings ae not humane. Children with severe burns and missing limbs living in unsanitary conditions with no access to medical help due to lack of supplies.

So much for their promise to restore water to the south- they didn't; and won't.

10/7 is no excuse for what Israel is doing now in Gaza or the West Bank.

The only country with the capability of holding Israel accountable for their actions is the US. Unfortunately politicians on both sides of the isle are beholden to AIPAC money; and keeping Israel rolling in us financial and military aid.

Agreed... they come in all forms too... from soldiers to nurses to cops to fire fighters to social workers... etc.

There is no safe place on the planet... her statement doesn't really mean that much.

War sucks... Hamas should not have started one.
Israeli bombings ae not humane.
What about what Hamas did?

You are right... Germany attacking Poland was NO EXCUSE for Britain and France responding where 70 MILLION PEOPLE DIED.

****ing Allies!! Inhumane!!

What you want is a defenseless Israel that Hamas and Iran will attack killing every Jew there... wiping them off the map.

I have heard a similar account and touched on it the other day.

I know that the MSF International Staff who wanted to leave have now been able to do so. They would not have been able to exit safely without assistance from their incredibly loyal and wonderful colleagues in Gaza. They can thank them for their lives. Conditions are beyond horrendous.

In before "HAMAS BRAINWASHING!"
:)

She might also have worked with another nurse that was Palestinian and whose mother had a sister whose brother in law new a man whose son was friends with another kid whose dad delivered concrete to a Hamas guy on one occasion 8 years ago and thus she is a legitimate target. herself.

She is pretty hot... glad she got out of there.

You're glad she got out because she " is hot"?? WTF

So if she hadn't have been "hot" it would have been okay for her to stay here and possibly been killed?

I think these sort of threads are wasted on posters like you tbh

Wish I could have thanked this multiple times.

Yep kids and adults with severe burns/partial amputations being sent out into filthy, unsanitary conditions that are causing them wild intestinal viruses to add to their misery. 50,000 people sharing 4 toilets with the fight to access water for 2 hours out of every 24. All the while under the threat of immediate or agonizing death from missiles and bombs.

So far the majority of the deaths are through ordnance but the creeping killer is disease which may ultimately dwarf the deaths from IDF violence and war crimes and those denying a genocide here will be looking for a way to distance themselves from their previous comments.

Please take a few minutes to listen to Tanya.

Amazing, amazing people.

She is spot on about these PR "pauses" and stating that what is needed is a complete cessation of hostilities.

She was also clear that the hospital isn't being used for military purposes and thus retains its protected status thus making the attacks on it,ongoing multiple attacks, Israeli war crimes.

Of course you do. It is illogical, emotional partisan rhetoric.

I see you ignored post #8. Smart move.

I get that you don't care and are incapable of debates on such matters. That much has been painfully obvious from the start and actually gets worse with time and exposure.

^^^ You mistake contempt for your ignorance with fear of your capacity, of which there is zero :ROFLMAO: no I really mean :ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO:

Delusions of adequacy or what? Post 8 is easily debunked junk created by someone with no historical knowledge and/or someone devoid of context. And no, I probably won't make a post debunking it for the nonsense it is because you are not worth the time. You will just double down with another ignorant bs post because that's what you do at a professional level.

I mean people listen to that gut wrenching account of life in Gaza at the moment and your response to it is?

" she's hot ,I'm glad she got out"

It just speaks volumes about you and explains so much about why people are well advised to treat your superficial bs for the junk it is.

Reminds me of the statement... the more times you tell a lie the more a person will believe it... who was it that told you that you were capable of making intelligent statements or that you had good reading comprehension skills? At least you are confident though... LOL

Those that continue to operate in the hospitals in Gaza are heroes.

They are the same people you are happy to see slaughtered in the " as many as it takes" abomination.

You are also the one that thinks the striking of Gazan hospitals is fine and dandy

Your virtue signal posting above, piggybacking this magnificent woman's account of a horror show you fully support, is pure sociopathy
The vermin known as Hamas using their facilities as human shields are the cause of their distress.

There's another amazing woman's account supplied by Serenity that outright rejects your accusation.

They are there and they are telling the same story.

You are spouting off from the safety of being out of range, supporting the mass murder of innocent people they are trying to plead with the world to stop.

So , does us a favour.

If you are going to try to dupe people about your morally bankrupt positions that support mass murder and even the celebration of it, don't shit all over threads were people would be sick to their stomach reading your appalling endorsements of the horrors they have had to witness and wish to be brought to an end.

Please... Quote me stating I am "happy to see slaughtered" these nurses.

In fact quote me saying I am happy to see any Palestinians slaughtered.

Quote me.

Don't do what you usually do and make shit up.

Quote me.

And I noted Hospitals are where Hamas bravely sets up arms caches and hiding places.

Therefore they are legitimate targets.

Quote me stating this is "fine and dandy".

I think Hamas should not make hospitals targets.

And what I support is the crushing of Hamas.

Not "supporting the mass murder of innocent people".

Mass murder.

Another "wave the bloody shirt" phrase you do so love.

Hamas started a war.

And you can not handle to result.

I already did and I'm not accepting your bs parameters on quotations.

You stated, quite clearly, that you are happy to see " as many as it takes" innocent peoples lives taken in order to weaken Hamas. That's what I quoted and it is indisputable, so we won't accept your ridiculous attempts to crawfish away from it. Own it, it's your statement

You have also stated that their murders from terrorism are worthy of celebration. It's my sig and so no citation needed

196 medical staff have been killed there already , 16 while on duty in attacks on medical facilities , attacks you support.

These are the same people the nurse in the OP was talking about as " heroes" as she described the humanitarian catastrophe you are constantly trying to rubbish.

Then you have the brass neck to show up here and try to use their accounts of the horrors they have witnessed, horrors you support btw, to virtue signal off of?

Nah, no free ride on this one.

Quote me.

You love to quote snippets while leaving off context.

Quote me HAPPY TO SEE as many as it takes to crush Hamas.

I told you I won't be playing your bs quotation parameters game and I won't.

Your words are your words, now that they bite you on the arse is your own issue.

These are the same people you are including in the " as many as it takes"

These are the same people who are dying in attacks you support.

The same people whose deaths should be " celebrated".

And you have the brass neck to show up here and try to do a PR campaign for yourself off the back of their accounts of the horror you support?

Nah, your virtue signalling post would be rejected by them and your views abhorrent to them. They aren't here to hold you to task, so I'm happy to do it in their absence.

You can't quote me because you lie about what I wrote.

Repeatedly.

You add to or lie about what people write.

It's what you do.
