US Homelessness thrives

Using our massive bloated arsenals to help save a country from genocide should be the goal of all Americans. You would appease Hitler too I suppose. NATO has just expanded again thanks to Putin's aggression and Finland has a longer border with Russia than Ukraine. Amazingly Putin has reduced his troops on the Finnish border and moved them to Ukraine. I thought having a border with a NATO country was a "red line"?

I don't think the cause of homelessness is foreign wars. I'm not a fan of foreign wars but I don't think it's the cause of homelessness.

I think it's our unstable economy. It's been unstable since covid lockdowns. This caused an extreme level of inflation which is just devaluating all the dollars people have. Foreign wars contribute to it but I think the biggest issue was destroying our economy in the lockdown.

It is Putin's war and denying that just shows how out of touch you are. Allowing Russia to win in Ukraine will strengthen the evil alliance and that is what you want apparently. You want Russia to win everywhere and do not care if Putin commits genocide in Ukraine. He plans on conscripting Ukrainians to fight his next war.

It's worse than that. The people here supporting Palestine aren't doing it because they feel anything for Palestine they're doing it to be cool rebelling against their upbringing that said that is real was right and it's edgy to support the enemy that was that I can fit in with the cool kids.

You don't want peace. You want Russia to win. That will cause more wars. The only way for a lasting peace is for Russia to lose. That will send a message to anyone else contemplating wars of conquest.

What evil alliance? I don't think countries like China and Russia will have an alliance very long because they both want to be dominant and they'll get stuck fighting with each other.

It's not so much that I want much that I don't care. I don't live in Russia I don't live in the Ukraine I don't know anybody that does. And unless we turn the Ukraine into our vassal, I don't see a point in involving ourselves.

Actually the Ukraine war is the 1st major conflict in Europe since WWII. We are not the police and winning this war in Ukraine is in our national security interests. Losing it will cost us 7 times as much as winning if money is what you are concerned with.

Arming Ukraine is cheap compared to the far higher price of Russian victory​

The most immediate costs of a Russian victory would be felt by the Ukrainian population, of course. With much or all of Ukraine under Russian control, the war crimes already witnessed in occupied areas of the country would multiply. Tens of thousands would be executed or imprisoned, while millions would be subjected to forced deportation. These horrors would create major humanitarian challenges for the wider European community, with a massive new wave of Ukrainian refugees flooding across the border into the EU.

Vindicated and emboldened by victory in Ukraine, Putin would almost certainly seek to go further. The Russian dictator has already made clear that he sees the reconquest of Ukraine as part of a broader mission to correct the perceived injustice of the Soviet collapse and the fall of “historical Russia.” His next targets would most likely be Moldova, Armenia, and the countries of Central Asia. If the West proves unwilling or unable to stop Russia in Ukraine, there will be little to deter further aggression against smaller and more vulnerable former Soviet republics.

With NATO discredited by the fall of Ukraine, Putin would then be tempted to test the resolve of the alliance in a more fundamental manner by threatening the Baltic states. Would a demoralized and divided NATO go to war with a resurgent Russia over an isolated incident on the Estonian or Latvian border? If not, Putin would exploit this weakness. Failure to defend the territorial integrity of a NATO member state would spark the rapid unraveling of the entire alliance, plunging the whole of Europe into chaos.

Since the data is based on January 2024, I suspect the problem is worse, and inflation is mostly to blame.
We had a lot of people living just paycheck to paycheck, and barely getting by, reducing the value of their
already limited paycheck, pushes those of the edge, over the edge.
What is really bad is that many younger people do not have the skill set to tighten their belts like those of us who have survived
hard times in the past. For everyone who says it cannot be done on small incomes, remember that all those illegal aliens, seem to be able to keep a roof over their heads. (Of Course they do this by putting 12 people in a 3 bedroom house).

Oh come on.....think. These neocons have been slowly giving Ukraine a little more in increments to where it's to the point of a nuclear war today. In the beginning it could have been ended quickly if it was their true motive or even while Putin was building up his war machine on the border.....but no, they did nothing. Pretended in the beginning to avoid involvement in the conflict, bowed to Putin's threats of air space, etc.....remember? Same as they do with cellphone technology, only giving out so much each year to make more profits in the long run. Blinken said the quiet part out loud the other day, stating the war in Ukraine is creating high paying jobs here in America.....war profiteers. Duped again.

We haven’t been directly involved in the war between Ukraine and Russia.

We’ve simply taken advantage of the war to cycle through our stockpiles - sending Ukrain all of our older stuff and given our military industrial complex the job of replenishing our own supplies with fresh armaments.

Win-win for us.

Lose-lose for Russia.

Ukraine got to be the happy recipient of our old toys that we needed to get rid of anyway to make room for new ones.
