Federal murder investigation to be opened in Capitol Police officer's death

Prosecutors in the US Attorney's office plan to open a federal murder investigation into the death of Brian D. Sicknick, a US Capitol Police officer who died Thursday night, a law enforcement official tells CNN.

So a 5th person has died from this, an officer this time who was attacked by the seditious crowd of domestic terrorists. Apparently the crowd was armed with weapons and attacking police as they tried to gain entry to the Capital in their effort to undo a free and fair election all because their Dear Leader lost. I hope the party of "law and order" is satisfied with itself. Having a best turned a blind eye to Trumps ranting and inciting of violence, and worst endorsing it, we finally saw an act of despicable, cowardly treason against the Republic and American democracy.

It was a horrible attack on our Capitol and democracy, encouraged by the president. Yet, if you listen to some Trumpies here and the talking heads on fox news, they act as if it's a nothingburger. They will do and say anything to defend Trump and his cult, regardless of the crimes they commit against Americans and our country. Sad state of affairs to be sure.
 

The hardcore partisans here are just hacks. Hannity is their daddy. Speaking of which I wonder how he covered this story.

Well, we know that we are allowed up to 9 investigations into what happened - well with 5 deaths, maybe we can eek out 10. Wake up Hillary, who surely was sleeping during the middle of the day and let's schedule her 11-hour testimony. And at first they were saying on the conservative talk shows that it was Antifa doing the rioting but now, due to online VIDEOS it appears that it was in fact right wing nut jobs. So there's the original made-for-public-consumption BS and the truth that we now need to get to the bottom of. Y'all up for this!?

The country has suffered under four years of rioting, looting, assaults, murders, the destruction of public property, attacking the police and also 'defunding' them.

And this comes as a surprise? Why? Of course this was going to happen and it has been predictable since they first began.

So what happens now? BLM/ Antifa will start another riot in protest?

It was an attack on the Republic and American democracy. They stormed Congress in some attempt to stop the EC votes from being certified because their guy lost. I don't think we should lose sight of that fact.

And apart from not losing sight of it what more can be done? The idiots who crossed the line, like the looters and statue destroyers before them should be charged and their names made public so that this behavior will no longer appear brave, patriotic or adventuresome.

Find them, prosecute them to the fullest extent of the law for their seditious terrorism against the Republic, lock them up for decades in Federal "Pound me up the ass" prison.

Of course. It's become revenge justice being distributed unevenly and depending on which political side you're on. We'll see a great deal more of that during the next four years.

Sedition and terrorism is against the law. That's like saying that locking up someone for murder is "revenge justice". They killed a cop, they planted explosive devices in the Capital, they tried to prevent the certification of the Electoral votes. Together, these are acts of seditious domestic terrorism.

The reason you will never see the "Joe Biden made me riot" excuse is that most adults have control over their behavior. Poorly raised children do not.
