They' at it again!
At about 1 min. and 30 seconds into the video, the American ambassador Pete Hoekstra seemed to imply that Canada must buy the F-35 warplanes because we need interoperability and are 'partners in NORAD'. Partners my arse! He alluded to dire consequences for Canada if we cancel the remainder of the F-35 contract. This seems to be yet another threat to Canadian sovereignty. When a foreign ambassador tries to dictate which weapon systems we must use, you know we are in real trouble. Canada needs dependable and trustworthy partner-states from NATO because the US is now increasingly ruled by an oath-breaker and fraudster. The Swedish Saab Gripen is designed for use in the north by the Swedish military and can operate in harsh arctic conditions, Unlike the F-35 which is a hanger queen and a maintenance nightmare which needs regular software updates from a potentially hostile producing state. Without these updates the plane will eventually become inoperable
We are not a client state. We will go our own way and arm ourselves as we see fit. If the US pushes this issue we should cancel the F-35 procurement, take delivery of the first sixteen aircraft already paid for and reverse engineer our own systems from them just like Israel did with its purchase F-22s and F-35s. When we're done we should sell most of them on to the UK and screw the American contract obligations.
Furthermore this is another reason to start thinking hard and clearly about withdrawing from the NPT and to begin building nuclear landmines before building more sophisticated nuclear weapons for our defence from hostile states like Russia, China and growingly hostile states like the USA.
Elbows up and it's time to start high sticking and cross checking. It's time to brawl but brawl smart. We need to scare the sh$t out of the TACO in Chief and his mongrel minions.
Evilroddy.
