UN nuclear watchdog chief says Iran could again begin enriching uranium in ‘matter of months’

The same Russian turd has been threatening that Russia will use nukes in Ukraine nearly since the war started. I don't think any regime would be stupid enough to pass on nukes to Iran. It's just one Russian idiot talking shit.

In fairness this is all vaporware. It's hard to know which nations are going to do what. I think it is safe to say that from the current regime's perspective, developing a nuclear weapon now makes more sense than before given the way things have played out. It's more a question of how to keep it secret than not doing it.

Would agree it would be stupid for any nation to openly assist Iran in obtaining nukes.
That does not mean it couldn't happen.
I would not dismiss it out right and I am sure that the US intelligence agencies are not.

Well, aside from from those toeing the Trump line and since he nor anyone from the US military been on site to determine whether the claim is true, it's suspect and as much of a possibility as those stating they're not sure how much was destroyed.

What we do know is the following, that particular bunker buster bomb goes 200 ft into the ground before setting off a timed explosion. The bombs are guided all the way down. The were dropped from 52,000 ft. They were precise hits where the bullseye was about the size of a refrigerator. Multiple bombs were used on each target at Fordow. Fordow was obliterated.

If Iran moved materials and equipment in those trucks, days before the bombing happened, then it wasn't shut down in the first place was it?


I believe the sites were heavily damaged and the bombs were accurate but nobody outside Iran can be sure that those trucks didn't take away and move elsewhere, all the most important resources.

Grossi says, the Iranians have informed the agency that they have taken protective measures, presumably moving the material to an undisclosed location.

The uranium can be stored in containers that are the size of a keg or a scuba tank, says Corey Hinderstein, vice president for studies at the
Carnegie Endowment for International Peace. "These are easily moveable, they're easily concealable, and as of now, I don't think we
can be confident we know where everything is."​
 
So all you have is a calculation based on what's estimated to be the depth at Fordo. Then to add to that is the fact MOPs have never been used in combat before, so we'll have to assume everything worked as intended. That's a lot of guess work to sound so conclusive, because god knows we've been sold all sorts of things by the military like the concept of "smart bombs" that end up being not so smart. The only way we'll know conclusively is by some kind of onsite inspection, but since Iran is now not letting anyone in to do that, it's all guess work.

Moving nuclear materiel around is not as simple as pulling up trucks and carting it off, especially as it was still in gas form.
