UN Arms Treaty could put US gun owners in foreign sights, say critics

Americans can only purchase American made weaponry, now...thanks to the Libbo pushed anti-friggin-gun laws. Where you been?!?

We can't buy FN-FAL's, that are actually made in Belgium. We can't by HK's that are actually made in Germany.

ah the idiotic 18 USC 922(c) so I own a Russian AK 103 with an american made stock, pistol grip, hammer, disconnector and trigger.

or the MAADI AK 47 I had was ILLEGAL if I put a Bulgarian Magazine in it-it had to have a US Made magazine (so I put a TAPCO stock and forearm on it). that is the sort of IDIOCY that we have courtesy of MORONS in public office

once the proposed treaty is actually written & finished, we can then review & analyze it.

something your dem buddies should have done with the OBAMATAX before passing that abomination

This isn't ****ing Nazi Germany, and you're delusional to compare this to it. Live in constant fear if you, if you can call it a life, but personally I'll take things from a reasonable perspective.

While that is true, I don't see us ratifying anything which would force global law over us and if such were true then we need to ensure that our government is not permitted to operate in such manner.

no treaty can violate the Constitution, so I see little to worry about.

again, the Constitution trumps ANY treaty we sign. so save the feigned-fear.

Is it the NRA? Or is it fear mongers on the far right? Legitimate question, I stopped watching tv a long time ago because I got tired of hearing new and innovative ways on how we're all gon ****ing die every week.

What does this treaty actually do? I see what some alarmists write, but I can't find hard original text.

Not yet! And, with folks like me, it never will be.

Remember when Libbos screamed like a pig under a fence that it's our patriotic duty to question our government? I betting--since The One is in office--that most of you don't!

That's because there is none, its been said plenty of times in this topic already, the text for these treaty doesn't exist yet its still in the "brain storming" phrase and if it keeps to its schedule then there will be a draft soon but of course that draft will go under other revisions as well.

Don't call me a liberal, I'm not one and I passionately avoid labels like that. And if you want to go on thinking you're the only line of defense against a nazi take over of America go ahead and keep on thinking that way, but you're living in a ****ing fantasy world.

Oh, and I couldn't help but notice you ignored the source you were asking for. Guess that got in the way of the fantasy.

How long do we have to go through the red tape to prove that the government can't trump the Constitution?

Why not have a president that says, "no! that treaty would conflict with our constitution", instead of a president that doesn't give a rat's ass about it, just as long as it goes along with his political agenda?

I didn't call you a, "Liberal", but whatever, since I've never seen you take a right-wing stand on anything.

Am I the only defense? No I'm not, because are millions of my brothers and sisters who think the way I do that will stand by my side.

Also, I don't see how anyone can "raise hell" about this treaty, since it isn't even on paper yet. Plus I'm pretty sure the Europeans know enough not to mess with our guns. Hell, quite a few Europeans make bank by selling us their guns. Austria, Germany, several formerly Soviet nations, and Italy come to mind. I simply can't imaging Europe doing anything that would jeopardize such a profitable market.

it hasn't been written yet.

it hasn't been written yet.

Mein Kampf, The Communist Manifesto and The Final Solution weren't written yet at one time, too. How did your attitude work out for us, then?!?

yeah and folks didn't oppose such books until they were authored.

seriously, this is all just a bunch of anti-NWO conspiracist chicken-littlery.

History has also taught is that that point is just a tad too late!

apdst-
What bothers me about attempting to link the political systems that were generated in societies that never had much in the way of democracy, Individual Rights, or the concept of private ownership trumping International Agreements to our rather unique national history is those same folks are quick to cite American Exceptualism when it suits them.

wrong.

had we strongly opposed Hitler in 1925, he would have been but a speck in our memory.

How moronically hillarious is it that you claim that I'm wrong, then the very next sentence confirms what I just said?

EDIT: Is, "moronically hillarious", correct? Or, "hillariously moronic"? Grammer Nazis, feel free to jump in.
