I'm trying to imagine what it would be like to watch 98% of the left sell its soul on all fronts just to back a Democrat. I can't.

I have my tangles over not so much the condemnation of Israel's excess in Gaza, but of purely black/white assessments of the situation that ignore all the whys, the hows, the how else's, etc, the loss of nuance on one issue when they're nuanced on everything else. But I still cannot see them getting remotely close to what the vast bulk of "conservatives" have done under Trump, which is sell every last principle they ever claimed to have short down the river on every issue just to feel like they're stomping the left. It's setting fire to the very townhouse their children live in just because it's gonna burn down the liberals in the other half when it catches.

It's a staggering betrayal of the concept of having a society, a nation, a civilization.
