The U.S. Olympic and Paralympic Committee has followed in the footsteps of the NCAA and barred transgender women from competing in women's sports to address concerns about competitive fairness. Of course, this only affects US athletes. Other countries will make their own decisions so long as they are in line with rules set forth by the IOC and the various sports federations that govern individual sports.

I don’t really have a problem with this but I’m guessing there wasn’t a single Olympian this applied to.
 
Everyone should have seen this coming a long way back, host nation has some latitude but only with their own teams, does not impact others as they all fall under IOC rules.

She had Swyer syndrome if I remember correctly.

Edit Google says she has elevated testosterone levels but is completely female.
