[Alaska] U.S. Interior Department mapped ANWR wrong, took too much land, court finds

If you wanted help with reading you should have obtained an education instead of that leftist indoctrination.

So the bullshit in your OP is complete nonsense.. The state of Alaska can not "approve" drilling here...

LOL! Tell that to the State of Alaska, because it already has. :ROFLMAO:

So they are violating the court order? If you need help understanding what retaining jurisdiction means I would he happy to educate you once again... Can you should use some proof the state has already permitted oil production on these lands or is this more fantasy bullshit?

And you are still not able to grasp what you read. What part of "Department of the Interior’s mapping agency should have considered additional mapping that was available in the 1950s when the boundary of the Arctic National Wildlife Refuge was created" did you fail to comprehend?
Works for me. In the 1950's the gov. made a mapping mistake.
What part of that do you not understand?
ANWR as it is today was established by Carter in 1980, and you should be embarrassed.
ANWR, according to the report in your OP, was established in 1960 by Eisenhower.

"ANWR was established in 1960 by President Dwight Eisenhower, and was at the time called the Arctic National Wildlife Range."

You need to get your ducks in a more orderly line.

That is because Canadians can't comprehend what they read. Eisenhower established the Arctic National Wildlife Range in 1960. Carter established the Arctic National Wildlife Refuge in 1980. The mistake was made by BLM in 1980 for not using those more accurate 1951 USGS maps. You are still embarrassing yourself due to your very obvious lack of education, just in case you hadn't noticed.

Has the state secretly approved drilling on these lands in spite of the court order?

Presidents do not have the authority, as the courts held under both Obama and Biden. Typical Democrat leftist filth, spitting on the US Constitution as usual.

So it's not being enforced, note the Willow Project. But using supply and demand, the number of available leases available are way lower, and their royalties required are way higher. Judicial basis? Arbitrary and ruinous to the industry. Perhaps the judge should have thought about this before issuing such a ridiculous statement as basis.

Five of the West's largest energy companies – Exxon Mobil, BP, Shell, TotalEnergies and Chevron – have reported nearly $200 billion in 2022 profits combined.
