U.S. inflation rises 0.1% in May from prior month, less than expected

It's not a question of if tariff induced inflation is transitory rather it's a question of if it really going to show up at all. Tariffs fund the goverment taking the pressure off other tax revenue sources. Worst case scenario is it's a push, best case scenario is if the exporter or company eats at least some of the costs.

Since taxes aren't being cut now, tariffs would be a drag on the economy, no matter who eats it
