Ya, we've never heard THIS before. Go ahead Charlie Brown, Lucy won't pull the football away this time. Things are different now.
It justs kills you my left wing friend that maybe our guys are starting to turn this thing around in Iraq.................
How many times have you posted this same thread before? How many times have you claimed that "maybe our guys are starting to turn this thing around in Iraq"?
Can you cite a post where I said that otherwise its a lie........

Attacks on Pilgrims Kill Dozens in Iraq

Earlier in the week, at least 150 Shiite pilgrims, many traveling by foot, were killed by insurgents in a variety of attacks as they converged on Karbala.
Why does it bother you so much that things might be going a little better in Iraq? Are you that much of a Bush hater and partisan?
Doubt it bothers anyone other than OBL and his people, if things went better in Iraq. Problem is it aint getting better.. at best its the same old same old. And no amount of spin or propoganda can change the facts that 50 to 100 people die each day to attacks, and thats the ones we hear about. On top of that there are kiddnappings, murders and other acts of "terror" that happen in a civil war... oh I forgot, its not "offically a civil war"..

I think what he's actually saying is that you made a premise and were proven wrong. Why is it that you have not addressed this?
That is not the subject of this thread.........I think he is upset that maybe we are making progress in Iraq as are a lot of Bush haters......

Show a place where he claimed to be upset that US troops are perhaps making progress in Iraq. And it is the subject of the thread. You made a claim. The claim's credibility was questioned. You challenged this. The lack of credibility was exposed. You have not addressed this. If the US is making gains in Iraq, I am very happy for that, and certainly think it's positive. But when the first line of your OP is '"Bad news for the "Bush Haters", the partisan nature and agenda of this thread becomes clear. I hope you care more about the success and well-being of our troops then whether it 'looks good' for conservatives.
Takes a giant set of balls to accuse another Forum member of "being upset that the US is winning" Navy Pride. That is not the subject of this thread.........I think he is upset that maybe we are making progress in Iraq as are a lot of Bush haters......
Did you see that Navy Pride "THANKED YOU" for this post? :roflShow a place where he claimed to be upset that US troops are perhaps making progress in Iraq. And it is the subject of the thread. No way! He's perfect and could not have made such a mistake. :dohYeah. Confused the heck outa me. Guess he hit 'Thanks' when he meant to hit 'Quote'. :2razz:
Did you have a chance to look at the link to the interactive map of Baghdad from the NY Times that I posted earlier in this thread? It is quite revealing as to the daily violence that our troops and the good people of Baghdad must cope with every single day, and it is not getting better.
No, but since I'm heading out, momentarily, I'll look at it later.
Honestly, IMHO, I think it cannot get better until we leave. We're targets, we stir the pot, we create another reason to kill. If we leave the warring parties will be forced to deal with each other or perish and that to me is a much greater motivator than our trying to create a military solution when no such solution actually exists.
It's like the novel "CATCH-22". Have you ever read it?
