Two National Guardsmen escort their mom to her immigration hearing so ICE can't snatch her

Sad days for America and her citizens while the lawless trump administration is running things.
 
Good for them, but they probably violated a bunch of regulations by doing that.

I remember we had some whackadoodle campus radicals who joined my National Guard battallion.

And one day, they had the crazy idea to show up at a strike at the Hormel plant in Michigan in full uniform.

They weren't in the guard much longer after that.
 
After three hours their mom was finished at immigration. She said she needs to call back to check in after 6 months. We don't know what this Trump-Miller immigration fiasco will be like in six months but it's pretty likely her two sons will be involved and in their ANG uniform camos.

Wearing their Illinois National Guard uniforms, Axel and Andres Reyes arrived with their mother at a South Loop immigration office on Tuesday morning. The men, 19 and 24, watched their mother, who was born in Mexico and has been in the U.S. for more than 24 years, enter the office where at least 10 people were detained by Immigration and Customs Enforcement just two weeks ago in what federal agents called “executable final orders of removal.”

And the brothers waited. “We fear her being detained and us not being there,” Andres Reyes said of his mother, who is seeking citizenship and is in the country on a work permit. “We can’t really do anything about it or get involved in that, but we just always want to be with her."
 
They showed up to support their mom, good thing. However, is she illegally in the country? Many illegals simply didn't show up for their original immigration hearing. I think some of that's because democrats have encouraged illegal immigration and promised that nothing would ever be done for violating the law. That's on the democrats. The law is the law. The democrats keep saying the illegals need to receive due process, but most of the democrats don't even know what immigration law actually says regarding due process in these cases.

I doubt it. It was their mother, and they were there to support her. She is here legally on a work permit. They simply want to protect her from being kidnapped as has happened to others in similar circumstances. Good boys.
 
ICE is scooping people up at work or going to court hearings while MAGA calls them lazy and criminal.

This is the goal of Miller's goons. Scare them into not attending their hearings so they can arrest them.
The ones showing up for court should be allowed to continue the process until the judge makes the finale decision. That only seems right.

If it was my mom, I'd have done the same thing.

However, the regulations regarding when a guardsman can wear their uniform are fairly clear.

Now, it depends if their CO was a dick or not.
 
I don't see how their presence, uniform or no, would stop ICE from doing what it does. The reason why they didn't take her was that they weren't planning to. "Sanctuary" is getting really hard to find. But at least they would have known when it happened.
