Trump to extend US TikTok ban deadline, White House says​


I guess this is good news for all TikTokers, Trump TACOs yet again. Both Trump and Biden have previously tried to ban TikTok but neither actually went through with it. Trump first wanted to ban it back in fall of 2020, and then just forgot about it. Biden at first reversed that decision, but later Biden wanted to ban TikTok and gave BytdeDance a deadline for selling the app off, then Trump promised to not ban TikTok, and then Trump won in 2024 and Biden's deadline approached, but all Trump did was give TikTok more time to sell the app to an American company, which Bytedance several time has said they'd never do. And now when the deadline is looming Trump TACOs and give them even more time.

Who cares what federal law says? Trump likes TikTok so he gave himself the power (via EO) to ‘temporarily’ (for at least 255 days?) ignore the law of the land.
 
I've been wondering--what does 'TACO' stand for?
 
It was a dipshit move to talk about banning TikTok during an election year. Even if they could have done it, it would have been replaced by new shiny Chinese spyware within the week. The Democrats needed a great platform to get out the vote and slow fascism down, and instead they wasted some time on this stupid shit.

What will happen is that he will TACO again in about 230 days. He will follow that up with another TACO. Finally, when a decision must be made… he will finally man up and…. TACO.
 
Good news for people who use TikTok. Seems pretty popular with people who will soon be of voting age.
