This is what needs to happen. The 2nd impeachment attempt was a complete waste of time.

I think there's value in making sure the history books reflect the 2nd impeachment. Particularly with even more Republicans joining in on it.
 
Financial crime investigations are something these people are good at it. Trump can whine all he wants but the numbers are the numbers. He knows he's in deep water.
 
Seen from my admittedly comfortable armchair, the only problem Mr. Donald Trump is facing is the cost of legal representation. Our curious system of jurisprudence has evolved innumerable ways to extend/delay proceedings. All it requires is a lawyer well-versed in the art. Given his present age, Mr. Trump could well keep any number of suits and indictments at bay as long as he can pay the lawyer(s). Given his present age and a peek at the actuarial tables, he may be able to win the battle.

So, the next step, seen from that perspective, is for Mr. Trump to find a source of funds, preferably other than his own. For that, he has a willing loyal base. All he needs to do is keep them stoked up and set up pots into which they can throw money. The gilded statue of Mr. Trump, wrapped in the flag and carrying a magic wand, may not be too far from the truth, nu?
