This doesn't even qualify as "word salad". This is the ramblings of a man with severe mental issues.

Well, I would do that, and we're sitting down—you know, I was, somebody, we had Senator Marco Rubio, and my daughter Ivanka was so impactful on that issue. It's a very important issue. But I think when you talk about the kind of numbers that I'm talking about, that—because look, child care is child care, it’s—couldn't, you know, it’s something, you have to have it, in this country you have to have it.

But when you talk about those numbers compared to the kind of numbers that I'm talking about by taxing foreign nations at levels that they're not used to—but they'll get used to it very quickly—and it's not gonna stop them from doing business with us, but they'll have a very substantial tax when they send product into our country. Those numbers are so much bigger than any numbers that we're talking about, including child care, that it's going to take care.

We're gonna have—I look forward to having no deficits within a fairly short period of time, coupled with the reductions that I told you about on waste and fraud and all of the other things that are going on in our country, because I have to stay with child care. I want to stay with child care, but those numbers are small relative to the kind of economic numbers that I'm talking about, including growth, but growth also headed up by what the plan is that I just—that I just told you about.

We're gonna be taking in trillions of dollars, and as much as child care is talked about as being expensive, it's relatively speaking not very expensive compared to the kind of numbers we'll be taking in. We're gonna make this into an incredible country that can afford to take care of its people, and then we'll worry about the rest of the world.

Let's help other people, but we're going to take care of our country first. This is about America first. It's about ‘Make America Great Again.’

WTF did i just TRY to read?
You read it correctly. Childcare is childcare is relatively inexpensive when compared to TRILLIONS of dollars.

I have heard drunks make more sense and talk more coherently. If Trump repeated that psychobabble in a courtroom, a judge would order a psych evaluation.

Just WOW!

Anyone who does not have three minutes to listen to this friggin train wreck of a ramble should not bother to respond to this thread.
This person-the former guy- should not be given keys to the restroom, never mind the nuclear codes.

The questions at this forum had been approved, so no reason to think he was caught by surprise. Also, very friendly forum. And still we get this! ----a huge digression into foreign taxes and then childcare is childcare is childcare.

Trump's incoherent babbling about the cost of childcare. This is simply incredible

Trumps incoherent droning was actually a cacophony of nonsense. One of the worst addresses from Trump I had ever seen. His child care rant was simply beyond stupid and more evidence that he does not know what he is talking about. Trump was so utterly flummoxed by the child care question and so desperate to talk his way out of it that at one point he offered "well child care is child care". REALLY DONALD.....CHILD CARE IS CHILD CARE.

The only salient point he made in just a bombastically absurd address was regarding Biden's unrealized capital gains tax which Harris has picked up. I think that one will end up on the cutting room floor before all said and done. Plenty of better and less complicated ways to make fat cats pay a fair share of the tax burden.

The rest of Trump's address was pure nonsense.

Hey Vance is telling us to have grandma, grandpa, uncles, 2nd cousins, some random person, anybody!!!! to watch your kid to cut your child care costs...

Before the next person wants to complain/gloat/smirk about Kamala's "word salads", they first need to decipher this gurgitation and translate it for the rest of us. To establish their bona fides.

Holy shit... and the MAGAs wont address this directly at all, will they? How do they accept this as anything remotely rational? It's not coherent, it's certainly not a policy. How can they explain away this garbage?

because I have to stay with child care

Yes, Donnie. Back in your crib.

WTF did i just TRY to read?
A long winded and convoluted way to say his tariffs are going to bring in so much money that it can fund childcare in the US. Of course, one has to consider what his last batch of tariffs brought about, particularly the ones where the US government had to subsidize affected farmers to the tune of $26b, so I'm not buying his assumption of how much money will be coming in.

Unbelievable.

Well, actually it isn't, but for someone who isn't a "compulsory guest" at "The Home" is comes VERY close.

Mr Trump's tariff's may, indeed, "bring in" money to the federal treasury.

Unfortunately Mr Trump doesn't appear to realize that it is the PURCHASER that pays the tariffs. The PURCHASERS in the US are American companies and they are going to be selling those goods to ordinary Americans. They are going to be basing their sale prices on their costs and those costs INCLUDE the tariffs, so that means that the ordinary Americans will be the ones who ultimately pay the tariffs.

Since there is an inevitable amount of "shrinkage" with each level of transaction, that means that ordinary Americans will end up paying $X in order to purchase $X-y worth of childcare.

Of course, since Mr Trump is going to be establishing "Trump Tot Towns LLP" in order to provide that childcare, I don't suppose that he is overly concerned about having to deal with the additional personal income that he is going to be receiving as a result of his tariffs.

Naturally, since Mr Trump is going to reduce unnecessary regulations, those "Trump Tot Towns LLP" operations will not be regulated because, after all, evrewunknoz that no one would cheat the parents or run substandard facilities using "undocumented workers".

He is desperately trying to get Ivanka back.

He is desperately trying to get Ivanka back.
Mrs Trump charges a mere $155,000 for a personal appearance.

I'm sure that she would be more than willing to appear with Mr Trump at campaign events PROVIDED that she was paid $155,000 per appearance AND PROVIDED that she was paid, in cash and in advance.

We have to do it because right now we're a failing nation, so we'll take care of it. Thank you. Very good question. Thank you.”
He's been giving incoherent answers like this for years already, but his hornswoggled hordes don't even listen to them. If Biden had come out with this stream of shit, the MAGAs would have been screaming SENILITY! again. But Trump ISN'T senile ??!!??

Well, there is another possibility ... which is that he's simply an idiot, has no ****ing clue what he's talking about, no command of the issues, no grasp of the solutions, and no intention of following through on any of them, so there was no reason to concoct and rehearse any cogent response to the question. And since he has gone through his years in politics never being challenged to be clear about what he is saying, never held to actually answering any questions, he was perfectly fine spewing gobbledygook and probably quite satisfied with his own bullshit answer - just as he always has been.

I'd love to hear/watch Sarah Cooper's version of this latest Trump communication catastrophe. It would be one for the ages.
