Its juast a wrecking ball that will probably be overturned because its illegal. But how will it work ?
Will people be paid to sit on their backsides for a couple of months while its is being sorted ? That doesnt seem a sensible way forward.
Will projects be paused and lose impact ? Will they have to restart at extra cost ?

Does it not conflict with the DOGE agenda ?

What about people doing important life saving work ?

It seens a hammer to crack a nut and , back to the beginning, congress has already debated and approved these programmes.

It doesnt seem thought through and will lead to chaos.
 
This is going to be another one of those issues that the courts toss.

Dumpy will lose here like he will most everywhere else.

I would guess it will be a class action lawsuit filed by prospective students.

When it hits the courts, they courts will reverse Trump's stupidity.
 
There will a bunch of college kids who will have to withdraw for the term (this affects Pell Grants).
 
I’m not sure the executive branch is obligated to spend (all?) funds allocated by congress, but so long as the funds aren’t reallocated (being spent on other things) I doubt that’s illegal.

The Administration is obligated to spend money specifically allocated by Congress. To do otherwise is called impoundment and violates the law. The law does allow for 45 days for Congress to approve the impoundment but there doesn't seem to be any action on Trump's part to seek approval. I think Trump may be using the word "temporary" to get around that. My sense is this and the other "temporary" freezes are all for show and none will be made permanent.

Meals on Wheels ? In the UK they are mainly volunteer staffed but obviously if the government isnt buyiing the burgers they aint going on the grill.

It’s more than that, I think he will create havoc up until the weather gets better and then he’ll spend all his time on a golf course.

I, for one, hope for an early Spring.
