I’m not sure there are many scenarios where trump could actually be remembered well by history...

Conservatives do not write the history books....

Scientists, Teachers, college professors, academia and scholarship wrote the history books. All fields dominated by liberals.

There are two ways I can think of that trump could create a big enough change that it could not be ignored historically.

1) Big police reform right now..

Remove that law that stops officers from being sued, or lessen it.

Make them accountable after the fact if the civilian was not armed.

More than anything else, don’t let them keep the money they confiscate... ever.

2) anything to do with nukes is a sure fire way to get a full page in any history text book.

If trump lengthened the retaliatory strike time and installed a check and balance on the president. That is guaranteed to be the primary thing he is remembered for..

All his nonsense would drift away into the mists of history and only his nuclear contribution would be remembered..

None of that will happen. Trump will be a joke, a historical oddity, like Caligula.

So...you consider "win YUGE!" to equate to being "remembered well by history"?

Not me...and probably not Trump.

I consider "win YUGE!" to equate to actually doing stuff that helps the citizens of our country...whether liberal-created history talks about it or not. For example, removing thousands of costly, unnecessary regulations is a huge win for Trump...and for the American people, workers and employers.

btw, I think your notion of what should be done about nukes is just plain stupid. Giving the President more hoops to jump through in a crisis...whether involving nukes or not...is idiotic. You want the President to be able to react instantly.

Show us where he acted "instantly." You can safely leave out the way he handled COVID-19.

Trump never met a crisis he couldn't exacerbate.

Lol. No.

In the Northeast, Great Britain, and Canada, yes.

Reagan is extremely well-regarded in history books, as long as you're using books printed in this country, and not linked to liberal universities/regions

George W. Bush is well-regarded as well

A) Who really helped the citizenry and is still hated by history?!?!

If you do things that really help the citizenry, then history remembers you well... for sure after the original controversy calms down..

As far as if trump cares if he is remembered well, BWAHAHAHAHA.

That is hilarious.. anyone who says nice things to trump and trump kisses their butt. He only cares what people think about him..

B) You think you and trump won’t care until your grandkids find your mags hat and are embarrassed at who their grandfather was...

He is already in the history books. Biggest deficit in the nation's history. We're is a fiscal Conservative when you need one eh.

it's unfortunate that the spray painted fool has any chance to win. once again, a Republican has presided over an economic collapse after letting the rich raid the treasury and making policy decisions that a lobotomized dog would be ashamed of, had he any shame. the two party system is a failure.

What was Bush 1’s deficient average???

If he loses he was a fluke... if he wins.. I don’t know what that means..

Historians are not dumb enough to do as the op thinks they will

Oh...so now we move the goal posts from "remember well" by history to "hated" by history.

Never mind.

You are dismissed.

Which direction??

Even a good nuclear policy would not overshadow his antics

Or are you expecting some mystery conservative movement to take over of academia, scholarship and science??

They wrote the history books and they are all dominated by liberals.

Lmao...

It is the OP.....

The topic is “how history could remember him well”..

You really cannot defend any of your arguments, can you??

He will easily be reminded as the most corrupt, worst president in history...

Conservatives should start writing history books

Why anyone would think it would be any different under the self proclaimed "king of dept" I can't understand...

He has already discussed the first nuclear test In I can't remember how long...

That doesn’t cut it...

He has to make a long-standing change..
Any big change to nuclear policy gets a paragraph in every history text book.

Good or bad..

1) Say he put in a council that he (each president) even chooses that has to concur for a launch to take place..

Just to make sure it made sense...

That does it..

2) Come out and tell the world you are slowing down the launch timetable.. remove the inherent risks in being able to launch in 7 min.. and accept the added risk in waiting 30-45 to absolutely confirm a launch.

3) Hell on the other side he could shorten it and get a paragraph too..

Say he puts some mechanism that makes it a 2 min window..

Anything nuclear gets at least a paragraph and trumps domestic policy. Historically by a mile.

Why anyone thinks that makes the history books without marshal law is being silly. Lol
