RCP has Trump at 47% approval to 51% disapproval, if you round up. ABC News conducted a poll last week on Trump's leadership for the Coronavirus pandemic, and he was at 52% approval and 45% disapproval. Now this week, he's at 47% approval and 52% disapproval.

This seems to be a common thread for Trump. As soon as he hits a high point, he immediately corrects himself and goes back to normal again.

You should take that ABC poll with a grain of salt since they decline to provide sampling data, their very low number of people sampled and their relatively high margin of error.

And that RCP average is an exercise in GIGO.

Trump's favorite polling source Rassmusen has him at the lowest of all the approval ratings taken.

He dropped over on his favorite Rasmussen as well. 47 down to 44. Idk, possibly people who have been stuck at home and able to watch his daily briefings with actual questions vs rallies with just yelling out nonsense with no challenges has them rethinking their stance on his brilliance. But polls go up and down so

I think it’s a result of grandpa or great aunt Emma dying, and having a guy up there saying his handling of this is wonderful and demanding praise from everyone.

LOL, you're right about that. I pointed out in another thread that Trump nor his minions have mentioned Rasmussen for a lonnnnng time. Gee, wonder why?

Trump saw a slight increase in his approval for a brief period, and now it's back to normal after I'm sure more people tuned in to his "daily briefings" where he rambled on like an idiot.

Meanwhile, despite Trump and his worshippers claiming Biden has "zero chance" at winning in November, they continue to relentlessly attack him, try and claim he should "drop out", claims he's senile, dementia, having strokes, and other unproven drivel, all because at the end of the day, they know their chosen one is a massive failure, and there's a VERY strong possibility he will be thrown out of office this November, assuming he doesn't try nonsense like trying to "postpone" the election.

You mean you haven't heard?

Trump Says His Coronavirus Response Has Been Total Perfection “I’d rate it a 10,”

I figured his bounce would fade. At the end of the day, he's still Trump. The Rassmussen poll is interesting. It uses landline telephones, which skews it toward older voters. I wonder if the talk about old people dying for the economy took the bloom off Trump's rose for them.

I am a Trump supporter and i am not pleased with how the federal government and the state governments have been dealing with this.
They hit the selfdestruct button on the economy and now are planning on pumping trillions of dollars into an artifical ecomony. Its a bad plan and all of them are onboard with it. All of them along with the media should all have a 0% approval rating.

Maybe the adoring base realizes their messiah may be a piece of **** when he essentially (along with right wing media and pundits), wanted to "open things up" early in April, despite warnings that it would be a disaster that would lead to vastly more deaths than there already is, many of them older people, who make up arguably the majority of his base? I mean granted, a few of them like Beck have said they'd "die" to save the economy, from the safety of their homes of course.

shrug...

I don't have any "favorites". Not even Rasmussen. In fact, I don't like the way THEY make you pay to get the details.

Nobody knows if they are following Gallup's lead and sampling by the actual nation-wide party affiliation numbers or if they are doing like Fox News and making Democrats almost 50% of the people they talk to.

You would do well to take my advice and ignore all polls. Hell, you don't need to know what these companies tell you that other people are thinking in order to make up your own mind...or do you?

I must admit that spending 6TRILLION dollars on this package is downright frightening.

I’m sure Mycroft thinks Rasmussen is the greatest except for when he doesn’t like the results.

You couldn't be more wrong.

But that's not a surprise, is it?

I would die for my family, my home and my country. No way in hell would I die for Wall Street. What was Hannity thinking when he came up with that drivel?

Hannity was pandering. Him, Trump, and their lunatic followers don't give a damn about this country. Hannity wouldn't even die for Trump, let alone this country, or even the economy.

You are right. 47% approval of Trump is way too high.

It always happens in a time of crisis: the public rallies around the leaders, even if they're extraordinary inept leaders like Trump. From there, it is up to those leaders to act properly against the crisis to maintain the poll numbers.

He'll continue each week to get notched down a couple of clicks each time.

It's a task to try to see where it finally levels off -- a virtually impossible task.

40%?

37%?

34%?

It's virtually impossible to know at this point yet the trend is down not up with the worse yet to come. Because the worse Trump makes things the worse Trump gets...until we get to the worst consequences of a dog chasing its tail.

Don't worry, I'm sure after bragging about how popular he is on Facebook those poll numbers will go back up!

Trump has about 35% or so baked in Republican support due to hatred of Democrats. He likely will never go lower than that unless he goes on live television and calls Republicans everywhere worthless trash. And even then they probably would still support him regardless.

Well true, but he was talking to his audience. He may have appealed to Trump, but to everyone else he looked like an idiot.

If coronavirus gets Trump elected to a second term, the evangelicals are going to be insufferable.

Really? Do you think the Dems change their minds because of what they read on Facebook?

Who knows...you might be right. It pretty likely they change their minds because of what the media talking potato heads tell them.
