Trump's a fascist?

Yeah, this thread pretty much went the way I figured it would. Does the Bill of Rights apply to those people not in the US?


So, seems the consensus is in agreement with SCOTUS. So.... why exactly based on this is Trumps proposal to keep Muslims out of the US so unconstitutional? I've heard several times on the various news channels that Trump is a fascist because of his stance on this and is said to be undemocratic and against the 1st Amendment's freedom of religion clause. Could someone take the time to explain exactly how this is so?

Kal, I think it is just a word.

It is a word associated with the far right fringe.

Some but certainly not all of the characteristics may pertain to Trump:

- Nationalisim

- Personality cultism

- Militarism

- Direct action

Trump focusing on the Muslims is like Adolf focusing on the Jews.

Of course Trump is a kinder gentler fascist in many ways. He WANTS people to own guns. That has never been a mark of fascism.

The ultimate test would be if Trump gets elected, then suspends habeas corpus and started rounding up people for whatever reason.

Also he would need to dismiss Congress and the Supreme Court. That would be true fascism.

We can't really dub him a fascist because he does not yet have the opportunity to do all those things.

The far left fringe fears that he might.

The far right fringe hopes that he will.

I have to laugh though because Trump is really a RINO yet the far right loves him in spite of that.

Maybe Trump is just uniquely Trump -- a chameleon.

I guess the question is how does Trump plan to keep Muslims out of the US without them setting foot on US soil? What's his foolproof plan to stop Muslims boarding planes in foreign nations that are going to the US?
