I stress that this is NOT what I think, but someone who I work with thinks. I think this is a bit nuts, but here it is:

Trump does bad at the 2nd debate. He has lost some of the sympathy vote from the month before regarding the first assasination attempt. He needs to garner more sympathy from voters on the fence, so he finds a guy. Maybe he needs to get some money for his family. Trump pays him a sum of money to point a gun at his at Mar-a-Lago. He changes his schedule to get to the golf course "at the last second", and communicates to the guy somehow that he will be there. Now he is garnering the sympathy vote again because there have been two attempts on his life. Meanwhile the 2nd gunman has gotten the money his family needs. Remember, no shot was fired at Trump, and the shooter gave himself some decent cover against shots from the Secret Service.

Hell of a conspiracy theory, one that would have made a good movie. My co-worker actually thinks this.

Mine is that it was JFK Jr. reincarnated as a puke handler puppet master - the current one is a Lizardman Distracto-plant - who worked for Soros and Killary, except the brain worm was also reincarnated and this is what the nefarious nebulous conspirators got . . . .

I doubt even he or she believes it. Sometimes its fun to think of the most outlandish theory you can think of. People do this in a brainstorming session. You throw out the wildest ideas and sometimes one sticks.

I haven't heard about any family except the son (who appears to be someone worth surveiling).

One problem. Trump doesn't have any money right now.

When you give a nut a gun, they become a hazard. Who'd a thunk!

I mean, it's a theory, but the guy had a criminal record longer than Trump's and he was so nuts the Ukrainians, who the guy supposedly advocated for - didn't want him anywhere near them.

Routh did in fact vote for Trump. He later became disillusioned and picked a whole new delusion.

Sort of like an incompetent Mark David Chapman.
That makes him a Trumper?

I think its obviously Fake News*.

I'd say you're correct.

Nah, lone disturbed individual who likes guns but sucks at shooting is probably what actually happened.

Watched a doc yesterday showing one of Trumps secret service agents when he was president, and he said at one point they were getting 100 death threat per HOUR!!
