For the better part of the last 8 years, all we have heard from Republicans is pissing and moaning about fiscal responsibility and debt reduction. Why, because they were in the minority at times and didn't control the White House. As such, it was simply easier for them to be "against" something than to be "for something". Now that they are in control, and are expected to show results, or risk losing big time in the mid terms, they have abanonded those old positions and are now in favor of spending and spending with little regard for how it impacts the national debt. As it turns out, Republicans have no problem whatsoever about spending money for the programs that they support. They just don't want the Dems to be able to spend money on programs that they support. Need further proof, take a look at a recent comment by Mr. Jordan of the "soon to be defunct" Freedom Caucus and Budget Director Mick Mulvaney. Both of whom are now blaming to Democrats for Trumps spending bill that passed last week.

"Rep. Jim Jordan (R) of Ohio, a founder of the House’s tea party-inspired Freedom Caucus, expressed frustration Sunday over his party’s inability to rein in spending, but he blamed Democrats. The need to garner 60 votes to end a filibuster in a 100-seat Senate, where Republicans have the slimmest of majorities, effectively forces them to make spending concessions to Democrats to win enough votes. Still, Congressman Jordan expressed frustration over the explosion of spending. “This was not consistent with what the American people elected us to do,” he said on Fox News Sunday."

"Mick Mulvaney, Trump’s budget director and another founding member of the Freedom Caucus when he served in the House, also blamed the Democrats and the rules that give them power. 'People think we can do what we want to in Washington because Republicans control the House, the Senate, and the White House' Mr. Mulvaney said on Fox News Sunday. “But the truth of the matter is, because of the 60-vote rule in the Senate, we need Democrat support."

Now, what both of these Republican Conservative hipocrits are saying is simply this: Spending is okay as long as it is for our (Republican) agenda items, but we are forced to allow Democrats to spend as well. When we let Democrats spend, this constitutes fiscal irresponsibility and we have to do something about how the system currently works.

Simply laughable.............................lol
