I contacted one of my friends about going only to find that she was going to another venue with another friend already. Now all three of us will go together. If there is any violence, we won't be part of it. The last time I was with my friend at a public gathering it was because her town, Fairfield, CT, was honoring her husband's service in The Coast Guard. I was there along with their other friends and his entire family, including grandchildren. There was a color guard and a special high school a capella chorus sang "The Star Spangled Banner".Probably not in places like San Antonio whose population is 66% Latino. During the George Floyd period we had a mini riot downtown. The next day some number of peaceful protestors showed up to help with the cleanup. That's San Antonio.
