Trump knew that Georgia Lt. Gov. Geoff Duncan was going to be a witness before Fani Willis's Grand Jury, and he wrote on his social media site that, among other things, Duncan shouldn’t testify as planned.

Number 1 in Trump's Conditions of Release in the election interference case before Judge Chutkan states "The defendant must not violate federal, state, or local law while on release."

Trump's "message" to Duncan is a clear violation of Georgia state law -- an attempt to influence a witness against him, a felony. Therefore, Trump violated Chutkan's conditions of pretrial release.

This is probably the most blatant and inexcusable violations of Trump's conditions of his pretrial release. Of course he has also impugned the integrity of Judge Chutkan -- also a violation. Anyone else would promptly have their pretrial release revoked and be placed in jail to await trial. In a prior matter, the Eleventh Circuit Court of Appeals ruled that Trump should get no deference because he is a former president. Unfortunately, I kind of doubt Trump will get anything more than a very stern warning at this point. But maybe Judge Chutkan will surprise us. If this time is a warning, I'm pretty sure it won't just be a warning for a second violation.

I'm counting on this judge to assume control sooner rather than later. He knows trump respects nothing and no one, and will push beyond the boundaries. Fines won't matter to trump, he has his brain dead base for that. I think he's begging to be locked up so he can maximize the martyr card, soooo LOCK HIS SORRY ASS UP! What a stupid, stupid old fool of a baby-man.

He still doesn't get it. He's NOT in control anymore. At some point, these judges will have no choice but to react to his dangerous behavior.

This is not a part of the case before Judge Chutkan. Be patient...it's coming.

Trump's Lawyer:
But your Honor, my client did not directly communicate with Duncan. He did not text him or call him. My client only posted his opinion on TruthSocial. It is his first Amendment right to do so. President Trump "believes" that Duncan does not read TruthSocial. Therefore my client was not trying to influence the witness.

/sarcasm above.

It shouldn't matter. He is under strict rules to not break any laws, state or federal. Breaking a law in Georgia puts him in violation of the federal bail.

That's an excellent point, but those posts don't break any laws, they skirt a provision of his pretrial release.

If the state of Georgia sees it as witness intimidation, it's a felony. Now we know they won't go there, but they could. It would be seen by the MAGAs as piling on. He'll earn himself a contempt charge before much longer.

I concur.

His post about Georgia Lt. Gov. Geoff Duncan going before the grand jury and telling him he shouldn't testify violates Georgia's law against influencing a witness. That's a felony, which violates Chutkan's condition of pretrial release. See Kirschner's comments on BTC. Particularly look starting at minute 3:50.

You are right, but it's going to take a whole lot more F****p's on his part to really feel it. He'll push to far, we just have to wait for it!!! LOL! I know, the suspense is kill me too? How many days before a judge bitch-slaps him?

It's not a felony until he is indicted for it. It's pretty clear that he committed a crime. Will Willis charge him?🤞

Time for Trump to go to jail.

Hmm. I guess you're right. On the other hand, Judge Chutkan can see the crime having been committed -- right there in black and white. He's not witness tampering in her case, but suppose one sees incontrovertible evidence of witness tampering in violation of a pretrial release order, does one have to wait for that charge to go to trial and be convicted of it? I don't think so. Perhaps the same could apply to incontrovertible evidence of a violation of Georgia state law.

I disagree. I don't think he skirted anything

He's not witness tampering in her case,
Oh, but it is. Again, Georgia is part of her case.

No, it doesn't. Probable cause is sufficient.
Perhaps the same could apply to incontrovertible evidence of a violation of Georgia state law.
Indeed.

As I looked further into the Judge's order, I think I was incorrect in posting that an indictment would be required. I think...

I think, honestly, Trump can't have a fair trial until he is in jail. So long as he is out, spurting nonsense and attacking the system, the witnesses and the judges, he is a danger to society and doing everything in his power to pervert justice.

I agree. Once he is in a cell, separated from his phone, a fair trial will be possible. If I were the judge(es) in his trials, he would be banned from Truth Social and all other social media until after his trials are over.

He would also be banned from rallying so that he cannot taint the jury pool.
