The difference was the number of Democrats and Independents in key states, that refused to vote for Kamala. Refused to they point some they even voted for Trump.

Listening to two local policatal mavens here in St Louis; ( 1 Dem and 1 Repub) they agree the parties are not supporting and grooming the best candidate anymore. That the extreme sources funding available outside the party remove the political review and grooming process by the parties. So we end up with Trump, who did an end-around the party process to become a lead Republican or Harris, who the average Dem voter had already said they had no taste for, gets selected by a few at the top of the party. This is why we have nut bags from both parties at every elected (there are a couple outliers) office in this country.

 
The Democrats need to get rid of the next in line strategy and go to a more, "Oh, shit, who's this Obama guy, ok, he can win" strategy. As it stands, they had no alternative to Harris. She was next in line, and passing her over would have pissed off big parts of the Democratic electorate. Also, there was also almost no time. She would have been a much better president than this disaster, but a shitload of people are addicted to faux. Of the rest, a lot are turned off by strong, competent women. She did about as well as she could.

Yes, he is wrecking the Economy but for a purpose. After all the cuts in spending, like, no Ukraine help, kill Dept of Educaton, etc., so that
money stays in Treasury. Then add money from tariffs. Economy tanks and he thinks it will come back after big tax break for corporations.
Reagan did that, then they looked at each other for 14 months before something started to happen. Most people think it would have improved
by itself the same way. The tax break did nothing. But, while eveybody is waiting for that comeback, Trump is laughing all the way to the bank
with his share of the tax break. There is nothing illegal here, it's just not ethical. Good luck over the next 4 years.
 
She did as well as she could but her campaign managers did terrible. The Republicans drove home the Southern border and the Democrats could have countered with a better Economic plan. But Harris and company never said anything about Trump's tariffs and the MAGAs who voted for him are not aware that tariffs raise prices. A perfect storm of madness.

No oneandrew1 makes an excellent point. The campaign people for Harris were terrible. Everything was poured into the abortion issue as well as that which was posted above. Just a horrible job.

No way a competent campaign loses to Trump. No way.
 

Yup. At the end of the day, the people who need to be angriest about the cover-up of Biden's decline are the people who are most upset about the second Trump presidency that it helped give us. :-/

Bro, she never mentioned his tariffs. Tariffs make prices go up, people buy less of it, the company makes less money,
their stock price goes down, they begin laying off people, -- that's RECESSION. It's the worst plan on Earth. She could have
pointed out that nobody wins a tariff war. There was nothing from her abot it..
 

The problem is less the money and more the unsuitability of the vehicle.

It won’t fit on the roads of the old English Villages. Or really any of the old European Villages or cities. The roads are too narrow for the big American Trucks.

So the vehicle would be limited to routing with the Big Trucks. But it isn’t big enough to carry those loads. So it’s “towing power” would be wasted as would its cargo capacity.

The same cargo capacity would be more easily transported by a Van designed for European roads.

So even if it was cheaper, it would still not sell more than a few units because it is a very poor choice for Europe.

That is the real problem. What works in America doesn’t work in Europe. Often the reverse is true as well.

Biden is no longer the President. If they have a genuine case Trump should sign an executive order to investigate, but he won't.

Are you happy with the first two months of chaos of the Trump presidency?

If Harris hadn’t focused on the grievances of fringe groups on the Left and instead spoken to the concerns of rank and file Democratic voters she would have likely won.

It was her or Trump. Simple as that. Voters ****ed up.
 
The chain of events following the onset of these tariffs will be devastating. American businesses will be selling a lot fewer widgets which will demand massive layoffs everywhere. Couple that with the purge of government workers and you have unemployment north of 6%. Could be as high as 10% inside of a year. The costs associated with unemployment compensation will be absorbed by the states who in turn will need to cut their own costs. Less projects done, means more layoffs.

In the meantime. all these college grads this year will be hard pressed to find job offers. And if you're in your late 40's or fifties, finding a new job will be next to. impossible.

Then the house foreclosures will pile up along with all the personal bankruptcies. The number of homeless will shoot through the roof as well.

The number of people going to bed hungry at night will be off the charts as well. Crime will shoot through the roof for people that have no other alternative.

Sadly, once the damage is done, it can't be undone.
 
Harris had bad campaign managers. Republicans were vulnerable in the Economy and Global Warming. Harris never mentioned any thing about either. You probably mean Harris also needs to get a mouth a little like Elizabeth Warren. Good advice as well.
