Before taking off for another long weekend of playing golf with his billionaire cabinet members and the paying members of his private golf club, Trump squeezed in a press conference with recently confirmed Veterans Administration Secretary David Shulkin. Trump was touting a return to Mar-A-Lago, saying he was hosting a big meeting at his “Southern White House” to tackle veteran’s issues with billionaire Ike Perlmutter, CEO of Marvel Entertainment. One problem. He turned to the man in charge of Veterans Affairs and said, “So, are you going to be at that meeting?” Shulkin shakes his head no. No, the man in charge of Veterans Affairs apparently did not make the cut for the billionaire gathering at Mar-A-Lago to discuss Veterans Affairs. Awkward!

Veteran's organization have requested meetings with Trump several times and received no response. Finally he responds and invites a billionaire to help address and resolve Veteran's issues. Trump did not invite VA Sec. Shulkin and then the meeting he announced never happened.
This swamp draining is pissing off a lot of veterans. **** the Vets, right? America first my pink veteran ass!
There are many sources. Here's the source for the above quote.
Which part makes you think he wasn't invited? He asked, "So, are you going to be at that meeting?", Shulkin shook his head no, then Trump asked, "You heard about it, right? " to which Shulkin shook his head yes.
So, he was invited, but wasn't going for some reason.
No veterans were invited, the Sec. of Veterans Affairs wasn't going because there was no scheduled meeting.
So Shulkin was lying when he said he heard about the meeting (because there really wasn't one)?
Yes apparently. There was obviously something going on there. Once again President Cluster**** getting it all wrong. Shulkin being the only adult in the room had to be diplomatic to cover for Trump. Everyone who works around Trump is forced to lie. That is SOP.

I'm not defending Trump. In order to defend Trump, the Trumpeteers must pretend that words do not mean what words obviously mean.
When Trump says he grabs ******s, it does not mean that he grabs ******s. When Trump says he is going to make Mexico pay for a wall, it does not mean that he will make Mexico pay for a wall. When Trump says he is being wiretapped, it does not mean that he is being wiretapped. And now, hearing about something means you were invited to attend
Yay, I have been invited to the Oscars!!!!
I'm not defending Trump.
Then I would like to see the evidence for Shulkin lying. Because, as it stands, a heavily biased commentary from the DailyKos on a video edited in a convenient spot doesn't support the idea that Shulkin wasn't invited in the first place. Quite to the contrary, watching the half-second of video beyond the clipped quote suggests Shulkin was the one who decided not to go, not the other way around.
Yes you are. Read the title of the thread
OK. Go review other sites. There are other as I stated in the OP.
Blasting the FailyKos and defending Trump are not the same things.
In your case, they are the same thing
Defending DailyKos is no better than defending Breitbart. Is that where we are now?
No, we are at the place where you are trying to defend Trump and failing
If seeking the truth looks like defending Trump, then that doesn't bode well for your position.
Why are you defending the DailyKos?
If seeking the truth looks like defending Trump
OK, then the your opposing opinion is that Daily Kos, the New York Times, the Hill
...and others...
Seeking the truth does not look like what you posted.
Hearing about a meeting is not the same as being invited to it
Seeking the truth does not look like what you posted.
Hearing about a meeting is not the same as being invited to it
Full stop.
I don't see the story carried in the New York Times and The Hill. I googled "New York Times Shulkin" and "New York Times Shulkin not invited" and the last mention of Shulkin was in February. Same with The Hill.
Like Palm Report. And Boing Boing.
...Military Times? Oh, wait, the Military Times reported about the meeting Friday with Trump, Pence, Shulkin, and "top officials from 10 veterans groups". Trump meets with veteran leaders, promises VA reforms
But you want to talk about the non-story of the non-meeting the next day that Shulkin wasn't not-invited to.
That is exactly correct. The meeting in Florida that included the Sec of Commerce and the Marvel billionaire where the VA was discussed and where Skulking and no Vet reps were invited.
