President Donald Trump on Saturday night signed an order to deploy 2,000 members of the National Guard in response to protests over federal immigration protests in Los Angeles, the White House said.

“In recent days, violent mobs have attacked ICE Officers and Federal Law Enforcement Agents carrying out basic deportation operations in Los Angeles, California,” White House press secretary Karoline Leavitt said in a statement.

Story is just breaking, but I will add that this is exactly what I predicted more than a year ago.

Michael Flynn had this plan before the Jan 6 insurrection. A military takeover of government. Just like any 3rd world country. Wait until Americans are murdered by their own fellow countrymen, dressed up in military uniforms and shooting protesters with military weapons.

The National Guard is there. News Nation is showing it live. OOPS, no, I was wrong, the men in military gear are local police. The National Guard isn't there yet. I'm expecting outside agitators to swoop in to take advantage of the situation.

From the first time I heard Michael Flynn's idea about using the military, the same thought occurred to me. I think there will be some that will be willing to shoot their own grandmother if Trump told them to. But I am sure there are a lot of unhappy Generals in the Pentagon that are disgusted with Pete Hegseth. But would they disobey an order from the Commander-in-Chief? That's the question.

We have the beginnings of the Summer of Love 2025 in LA. It is not okay to attack ICE officers doing their job, vandalize property, attempt to breach federal buildings, slash tires and burn cars. This needs to be stopped immediately.

Dems choose some pretty strange battles to fight. Causing riots to try to prevent deportations of illegals and criminals - is one of those very strange battles to undertake.

they are a mess. to be fair some are simple Progressive nut cases, but some are just anarchists. As I posted the Dem problem is their inability

Why are some posters calling out "Dems" and "Progressives" as if some people on the left with a political agenda orchestrated this?

It's taking place in Paramount, a city that is 73% Hispanic, with a median age of 33. All signs point to this being a spontaneous reaction to ICE trying to snatch up friends, family and neighbors. It was a deliberately provocative show of force to drive through the streets in armored vehicles with tactical camoflage.
 

And here it begins. We knew Trump has been waiting, building up to the right moment. Finally, he has a chance to use the military against civilians.

It is the beginning.

Trump and MAGA are the USG. The National Guard isn't going to be taking over any government at any level.

The US active duty armed forces are not going to be arresting or shooting unarmed civilian American citizens. To claim otherwise is liberal know nothing hysteria.

He literally told us he was planning to deploy the military against hypothetical, non-existent protests.

He’s trying to provoke a civil war.
 
The USA armed forces will not open fire using military weapons against unarmed civilian Americans. This is a RED LINE that Trump has been made clear about since his first presidency.

At Lafayette Square in June 2020 during protests against the murder of George Floyd, the Bloodthirsty Generalissimo Trump told SecDef Esper and Gen. Milley to shoot peaceful protesters. Each Esper and Milley refused flat out without hesitation. The flustered and bloodthirsty Generalissimo Trump wailed "Can't you just shoot them in the legs or something?!"

NO and NO.

This is true always.

The Army has its 250th anniversary a week from today, with the Navy and Marines having their 250th anniversary in October and November. Not now and at no time do the US armed forces shoot unarmed civilian citizens of the United States protesting peacefully.
 
If only Trump had done similar on Jan 6, 2021.

The military isn't going to be shooting anyone (except in self defense).

The military refused to do Trump's mass deportation because this is what would be happening throughout the country. The US military does not exist to arrest innocent civilians or to shoot and kill unarmed civilian citizens. The Generalissimo Trump knows this by now, that the RED LINE for the armed forces is shooting unarmed civilian citizens / residents in the USA.

Neither is the military going to take control of any governments at any level. Besides, there is no such thing as federal martial law -- not in statute and not in the Constitution. Governors can do martial law but the Potus/C'nC cannot do a federal martial law. The Founders were clear about this.
