My neighbors don't talk to me about their financial situation.
I ask them how things are going and they say "Fine".
Isn't that what most people say to be polite?
But I do notice in the Next Door blog a lot people are asking for money because things are getting tougher.

He commits a lot of sins, moral and ethical, that the Opposition will jump on from now until he occupies a room in the White House inhabited by President JD Vance and his family.

I do....Obama (deporter in chief) sent thousands of illegals back and what those countries did was their business.

Of the remainder, who were removed from the U.S. interior, more than 90 percent had been convicted of what DHS defines as serious crimes.
Border apprehensions and removals increased in FY 2016 compared to the prior year, DHS reported. In FY 2016, DHS carried out 530,250 apprehensions and 344,354 removals, compared to 462,388 apprehensions and 333,341 removals a year earlier. Despite the increase, these numbers were far lower than the peak of enforcement operations at the beginning of the Obama years, after he inherited a robust enforcement regime from his predecessors. These numbers dipped as new enforcement priorities were put in place, before rebounding slightly at the end of the Obama presidency.

Not sure if there was National sales tax, conservative (which some would side with liberals) heads would explode as much as liberals who would think a National sales tax would be a burden on the poor. Which I think is true.
I would be all in on a set mandatory income level tax (pick a number) on everyone with no loop holes (especially for the rich and no mortgage claim for anyone) and a low income level exemption.

Yes there are some, very few, carve outs, not a lot by any means. However, any tariff on any product equates to a national sales tax on that product. Most if not all sales taxes exclude some items. Sales taxes are not like income taxes. When the government arbitrarily levies a charge on corporations and/or consumers it's a tax. In this case the tax is paid by the businesses and may or may not be passed on, in whole or in part, by the corporation as part of the price. Congress, not Trump has the right to tax....Barbie Dolls do not constitute a national emergency. I suspect if the GOP does not move on this the Dems will in 2028.
