Trump sounds a bit like the German word Trampel.

Trump is derived from Drumpf. It was changed when his grandfather immigrated from Germany, for reasons I can only guess at.

His grandfather left Germany to avoid military service. He tried to return and was denied. Maybe the name change had to do with that.
Trump has said, for some odd reason, that his father was born in Germany. His father was born in the Bronx.

wasnt there also the false claim to be from Sweden?
