Trump 1.0 did to the National Debt in just 4 years, $8.16 trillion, with him being handed a decent economy, compared to what it took Obama to do in 8 years, $8.34 trillion, with him being handed a blossoming recession. No, Obama does. $8.34 trillion for Obama. $8.16 trillion for Trump. Biden will be over $7 trillion. The point is that it isnt just republicans that add to the debt like the poster dishonestly claimed.
Which President, Obama or Trump, was worse for the National Debt?
By all accounts it was Trump.
President Obama added $1.04 Trillion Dollars to the National Debt per year in office.
Trump added $2.04 Trillion to the National Debt per year in office before January 20th, 2025.
Let us not forget, President Donald Trump is on course to almost immediately add another $3.6 Trillion to his National Debt number with the passage of his OBBB.
All when he promised to eliminate the National Debt if given the Presidency.
Trump was worse on the National Debt per year in office than Obama, and frankly, it is looking very much that President Donald Trump just might end up worse on the National Debt in 8 years as President than President Obama plus President Joe Biden were in a combined 12 years in office.
President Donald Trump is not in any way going to ever reduce the National Debt.
He just won't.
