Trump Rally = Corona Virus Dream

Dr. Sanjay Gupta was on CNN this morning and he said he would expect that at least 20 people with the virus will be at the rally and that those 20 people would infect at least 45 others at the rally and thereafter it would spread as it has spread during the whole time that the virus has been here.

On another note, Trump security forces are imposing the following rules for attendees to the rally.

No one person called for the protests to occur and they were not put into a closed arena. People chose to protest and they could follow social distancing if they chose. This is a rally that our "intelligent" president is putting together. in a closed arena and to celebrate HIM. Nothing is going to get accomplished at this rally. No injustice will be overturned and no new statement of support will be made. This is all to build Trump's ego.

You call that hypocrisy? I call you a hypocrite. You think going to a Trump rally is going to solve anything? I can understand if this was a voting area and votes toward the election were being taken.

This is simply a selfish egotistical person who is in charge of the nation's health wanting to stoke his ego while putting people in unnecessary risk of dying. That's all it is!

fail to find covid based objections to protesting,
and tell you you can't find covid based objections to protesting,
you just go along with it because it fits your narrative?


I have only heard Trumpco customers make the claim that protest exempt one from a covid threat
Can you point to someone who said such a thing who is not a Trumpco customer?
 

Hey, if people want to protest, it is their right. No one has to go and if they go, they don't have to get close to others. Nonetheless, it is each individual's choice.

Here the one doing the choosing is the president. He is the one that decided to have a rally. The people did not get up personally and organize the rally. They do have a choice as to whether to go or not but the circumstances in this rally (the closed arena) is all the decision of one man, the leader of our country. He is the one putting those that go at risk. He is not even forcing people to wear masks and much less to social distance. He is just having them sign a waiver so he personally cannot be sued. Is there a waiver that someone is providing for the protests that absolves them personally of guilt?

 
I certainly hope there are no clashes tomorrow night between pro and anti Trump groups.
 

Not true, several people called for the protests to occur, here in LA area one of the largest protests turned out because a rapper took to the social media calling for them to turn out. You say people protesting could follow social distancing if the chose? Well we all saw the protests and none of them chose to do so, the majority did not bother with masks and how many do you think had their temperature checked? Want to try and guess how many of those thousands of people were carriers, wait until July when it's had time to take effect. BTW - The Department of Health and Human Services is charged with the nations health, not any one person.
 

Oh, I think this is very valuable. I think there are a ton of people are tired of the destruction and local governments not doing anything about it and want a place to feel like they’re heard. Then there’s the whole first amendment thing.

So if you think the protests are a bad idea I assume the rally us also a bad idea. There is a reason people are not going to sports venues, the spread amoung packed people would be rampant.
Heck stores in the area are closing their doors will the rally is in town because they don't want to get infected.

The problem is that anyone organizing any rally is responsible for what happens at the rally and more so the president because he is the leader of our country and not just the leader of a group of people.

Anyone and everyone can say and call for anything but they should always be responsible for the results. Trump is not responsible or accountable for anything.

I see, now Trump is going to give importance to the FEELINGS of people, during a health emergency? Making them feel better is more important than keeping them alive? And by the way, if he is now into feelings, how come he has totally forgotten for the past 3.5 years about the feelings of those not in his base, the 60% of all Americans. Their feelings are not important?
 

What I can say is that I supported assembly and peaceful protest prior to the George Floyd protests so I’ve been consistent on that. Not everyone has though.

I’ve never said protests are a bad idea so I remain consistent with regard to this rally. How about you?
