In considering government tyranny, I recognized the possible use of removal of citizenship, and that it's essentially been held 'beyond the options' for governmental abuse - but could be perhaps. trump is now seemingly the first time in history attempting to weaponize removal of citizenship for politics - as we saw in his tyrannical threat to remove citizenship from political opponents. Some info from the ACLU:

Can we start with Melania?

Revoking citizenship for naturalized citizens has been going on for decades - - Trump is not proposing anything new.

He IS however pushing to relax the protocols for denaturalization. I hope he succeeds - there are some very bad (naturalized) people in our country, and America would be much better off without them.

Presumably, they would be sent back to their country of origin.

Trumps ICE has deported natural citizens, people born in the US.
Where is the line? Has it been drawn, or is it just flexible?

The topic of the thread is Trump's push to denaturalize citizens. ICE deporting naturalized citizens is not relevant.

From the linked ACLU article:
"The Trump Administration has launched a denaturalization operation"

It seems that the main issue the ACLU has with the Trump Administration's denaturalization activities is the number of cases:

That's a pitifully weak argument, in my opinion. Obviously, as (naturalized) anti-American subversives get support from the left for disparaging America, the number of these subversives grow exponentially. Of course there will be more of them that deserve to be denaturalized, and sent back to their country of origin.

It demonstrates that the Trump Administration is doing their job.

Good lord do you REALLY think that the vapid challenge of me to name the people who should be denaturalized has any merit?

Of course that information has not been made public, and there is no possible way that I could get access to that information. He knows that, and YOU know that.

So is the clown emoji next to my name supposed to be you or me?

Still waiting @SkyChief

You claim there are "very bad (naturalized) people in our country" yet you can't name even one of them because that information is not public?

Then how do you know? How can you be so sure?

Youi can't. You're just believing bullshit. Be smarter.

Of course there are, like Elon Musk. The thing is, that's never been enough to take away citizenship. It's not at all a normal 'punishment'. Why don't we just start taking away citizenship from millions of people convicted of crimes?

Correct.
Then how do you know? How can you be so sure?
Because many bad people in the past have been denaturalized by the Justice Department for lying on their citizenship applications.

If you can't substantiate your claim, it becomes invalid. Just because Trump wants to change laws for a political win does not mean it's the right thing to do.

You are free to ignore the truth.

FALSE.

Denaturalization laws and protocols are already in place, and bad people have been denaturalized and sent back to their native countries since the 1960's. This is a fact that so many people choose to ignore.

Trump only wants to relax existing denaturalization protocols.

1.) Trump is a known liar, so you shouldn't believe a word he says .

2.) If they are criminal citizens, then they are dealt with here in the US by the criminal justice system.

3.) Allowing citizenship to be stopped sets a very dangerous precedent that will soon be used to attack natural born citizens that are political enemies of Trump.

Red herring noted, and appreciated.

Red herring #2 noted. Naturalized citizens have had their citizenship revoked for reasons other than criminal justice. Subversives who lied on their citizenship application can be denaturalized (for fraudulent claims).
3.) Allowing citizenship to be stopped sets a very dangerous precedent that will soon be used to attack natural born citizens that are political enemies of Trump.
Red herring #3 noted. Citizens have been denaturalized since the 1960s. The precedent was established DECADES ago. Only the number of denaturalizations have increased, because there are many more subversives in the country today than there were in the 1960's.
