Trump preannounced “a deal” on Gaza today.

They wrote the book and set the standard.
Yup. I often say they are the ones who opened the can of worms (actually with several different things) and then bitch and gripe about it when the other side does it better than they did.

I bet that you consider a GOP Senate majority and a "not guilty" verdict in Trump's impeachment proceedings as a declaration of his innocence. Like that Senate was ever going to find Trump guilty of anything.
Both impeachments were just political in nature, which is why the bar is set so high to remove a president from office, to stop political impeachments from being done in the first place. Democrats went ahead and did both anyway because all they wanted to do was score political points. They new the Senate would not remove Trump from office, just as the Republican impeachment of Bill Clinton, where the Senate wasn't about to remove him from office either.

... the Republican impeachment of Bill Clinton...

So, the Republicans are the ones who opened the can of worms and then bitch and gripe about it when the other side does it.

Donald loves to preannounce stuff. No details at all, of course.
His revenge tour is well underway.

He says James Comey is “worse than a democrat”. Comey is actually a Republican.
He kept saying Comey lied and got caught. Neither is true.
The cases will very likely be thrown out.

A US President, calling explicitly for legal action against his political enemies is a real low for our nation.
Not that it matters to Trump, but it also happens to be illegal.

Given that the impeachments were used to hopefully fire the head politician, I would agree they were political in nature.

You are confused. An impeachment is ALWAYS a political process. Always.

If you are trying to say that the two impeachments were unwarranted or somehow uncalled for, you are barking up the wrong tree. The question you should be asking is why did trump do the things that prompted his impeachments. In my view, because he has utter disregard for the law.

He believes that he can do whatever he wants.

An Trump is ALWAYS the victim. Simply ridiculous.

LOL. You said yourself impeachments were ALWAYS political. The House did two of them against Trump, knowing full well the Senate would never remove Trump from office. If you wanted to, you could find a reason to impeach every single president.

You aren't getting it.
Impeachment IS a political process. Literally, that describes what it is. Did you not know that?
There is no such thing as a non-political impeachment.

The House did two of them against Trump, knowing full well the Senate would never remove Trump from office.
They impeached him. Twice. That is not a honorable thing.
Whether removed from office or not, he has been impeached twice.

If you wanted to, you could find a reason to impeach every single president.
It has not happened often in our history. Trump is the only idiot president to have been impeached twice.
