Trump Out-Flanked Biden, Pelosi, And Schumer

Trump just outflanked the Democrat party and blew right through the blockade of coronavirus relief.

Trump basically gave them the middle finger and said here do you want to take this away you’re gonna have to do it in from the American people.

You're forgetting he also gave the country the middle finger by continuously declaring 'the virus is going away'. He is directly responsible for the failed leadership that has led to the deaths and the worse response to the pandemic in the world. He is a disgrace, and needs to be removed, one way or the other.

Trump just unilaterally lowered people’s unemployment check amounts and defunded Social Security. To prevent the Dems from offering more generous aid than he’s willing to provide the American people. Crafty positioning!

So you aren't aware that it was republican senators blocking the relief legislation?

That and trump wanting to save $30 million a year in matching payroll tax contributions and a new FBI building, that isn't where they want it, but is right across the street from his DC hotel. It's purely coincidental that that would prevent a competitor from building a competing property there.

And the Senate is fully behind him, because they have shown he owns them.

Other than possibly the student debt EO, they are meaningless. The only purpose they have served is that we are finally past yet another bit of Trumpian nonsense and the Hill can get back to work pounding out a Bill. Trump didn't outflank anybody.

“And again, when you have 15 people, and the 15 within a couple of days is going to be down to close to zero, that's a pretty good job we've done."
— Donald Trump

Since the 1st of the month, people's unemployment check from the feds was zero. Now...depending on their state governors...their checks could increase by $400/wk.

Trump has not defunded Social Security. The payments to recipients will continue as they are until Congress reduces or ends them.

You got any more lies you want debunked?

Trump rejected maintaining the $600 federal payments in favor of unilaterally lowering them. And yes, he’s choking off funding to Social Security. When that will result in payment reductions is TBD.

Trump's main drawback was that he wasn't a politician and didn't know the game when he came into office. He thought he was dealing with normal people and not evildoer who whole intent on regaining power and enacting a coup. Someone who didn't like him convinced him that Sessions would be good. He relied on insiders and kept insiders and holdovers wayyyy too long, like Vindman.

So, he learned the hard way that people like Pelosi, Schumer and Schiff are evil personified. He struck back at the perfect moment this time and said, "You wanna hold up the bill that will help the people because you want mail in voting and more trillions for your voters?"

We know what he did. It just assured his re-election and sent the Dems in rage and anger. They just got bent over bigly and no vaseline.

At 2,400.00 a month, too many people decided not to work. Now if he could just figure a way to keep teachers from getting paid, they would be BEGGING to open up schools.

He too has made the point that he rejected Congress’s position that the unemployment check amounts be maintained because he preferred to starve people out of their homes and into his uncontrolled pandemic. That’s why he took this action to reduce people’s checks!

Yes. He rejects restarting the $600 payments...for good reason.

But that doesn't put truth to that lie of yours. The fact is, people are getting zero right now. He wants to increase that to $400.

And yes, he’s choking off funding to Social Security. When that will result in payment reductions is TBD.

IF this "deferred payroll tax plan" results in Social Security payment reductions, that will be a decision made by Congress...not Trump.

Seriously...you need to inject some honesty in your rhetoric.

look at all these (fake) fiscal conservatives, constitutionalists, small government folks turn right into liberals when times get tough.

it's no wonder why they support a fake and liar like Trump. they're fakes and liars themselves.

His reasons aren’t relevant to my point. My point is that the reason people are getting smaller checks is because Trump insisted upon it. Which you just acknowledged. He blew up the Congressional negotiations that would’ve extended the benefits in favor of lowering them on his own. Very heroic.

It’ll be because Trump unilaterally stopped collecting the taxes to fund it. In a transparent attempt to destroy the program.

Didn't President Trump reduce the amount of tax dollars going into the Social Security fund through his EO?
I agree the EO does not reduce the amount being paid out. So how is that sustainable for the SS fund when more is going out than coming in?

He didn't lower them since they were back to 50% by default. That said, he hasn't done much other than smoke and mirrors.

The GOP Senators were not going to allow the Democrats to hold the nation hostage by agreeing to allow meal-in-voting, no election ID requirements, and bailout of failed Democrat controlled cities and other DNC favorite organizations. You haven't been following along have you?

No. Evidently, I have to remind you what your point was...

"Trump just unilaterally lowered people’s unemployment check amounts"

...which isn't true.

But yes, Trump is resuming federal unemployment money...if the governors want it...but at a reduced amount. And, as I said, for good reason.

And he didn't blow up the negotiations. The negotiations were going nowhere. Congress can still continue their negotiations...they can create and send a bill to Trump...if they want to.

It’ll be because Trump unilaterally stopped collecting the taxes to fund it. In a transparent attempt to destroy the program.

Trump hasn't unilaterally stopped collecting any taxes. You don't understand what a deferment is, do you?

No. He didn't reduce the amount. He only deferred the collection of taxes from the citizens. At the end of the deferred time, those taxes will be collected.
