Of course it's not patriotic. That was sarcasm, in case it went unnoticed. And I didn't ask you about the thousands. I asked you about the ones who assaulted police.

You don't care that a bunch more were attempted?

I mean, assault is assault, unless it can't be proven. So you ask about assault but I think what we are discussing is convictions/guilt.

I used to think Vernor Vinge (libertarian sci-fi writer) was having the vapors when he identified Emergents (practitioners of permanent Emergency) as the villains of the coming age. Not any more.
