I think I know what Trump meant by "black jobs"...he means they work at organizations with "Urban" in their names.

Seriously, does Trump let black people work in any other department in the Federal government?

New York City Mayor Eric Adams has been reluctant to abandon his bid for
reelection — but an influential post in President Donald Trump’s administration
could incentivize him to bow out and make it easier to halt Zohran Mamdani’s
rise.

Adams has been offered a position at the U.S. Department of Housing and
Urban Development, according to a person with direct knowledge of the offer
who was granted anonymity to speak candidly about a sensitive matter.

The mayor, who has a friendly working and political relationship with Trump,
met with the president’s team during his visit Tuesday to Florida, two people
familiar with the plans said.

A White House official would neither confirm nor deny that Trump advisers
are talking with Adams.

Adams is denying the offer was made:

Poor Tim Scott, cucked for Trump and wasn't even offered one of those "urban" jobs.

I am utterly fascinated by their fear of Mamdani.

It’s odd, I agree. With him as mayor of NYC, they have another foil; another high profile liberal boogen. AOC can’t carry that load forever.

Seems they contemplated offering Sliwa a job as well, but no mention of HUD for him.
I think they're going to make him the official greeter at Trump's golf courses, where he'll welcome visitors while wearing that stupid beret.

I think he's let them serve as White House janitors.😎
In all seriousness, didn't he appoint a Black man surgeon-general?

Well, if Adams says something, then it must be true, right? We know he'd never lie or do anything sleazy.😎

The right hates him for obvious reasons. Centrist dems hate him because he's not the kind of Dem who is going to keep placating donors while telling their voters they did everything they could.

But he did choose a black guy last time so they can break out into other roles!

A DEI hire to be sure.

I really don't get the preoccupation with Mamdani.

Damn! She's not bad-lookin'!
Trump may be an unbearable prick, but damn it all if he ain't good taste in women!

They’re offering them jobs in exchange for them dropping out so Cuomo has a better chance.

Quid Pro Quo. Election interference.

Republican politicians and also some in the Democratic political establishment continue to focus on the sociopath share of the rich population.

That for example even with populist Trump are Republicans continue with massive tax cuts for the rich and cuts to social services. While the Democrat establishment in New York claim that the rich rather move to Florida that for example detain people under horrible conditions in the Everglades than stay and pay two percent more in taxes to improve the city.

While politicians like Zohran Mamdani focusing on policies that benefit working and middle class families. While also understanding that all rich people aren't sociopaths. That there are also rich people that want to have a less divided and broken down societies.

Maybe not HUD after all?
