The Trump administration released a memo Monday that aims to protect religious expression among federal workers, outlining that employees can attempt to persuade co-workers about why their religious beliefs are “correct.”

The memo outlined conduct that should not result in disciplinary or corrective action, including displaying in the office bibles, religious artwork, jewelry, posters displaying religious messages and other indicia of religion “such as crosses, crucifixes and mezuzah.”

The memo also said one or more employees should be allowed to engage in individual or communal religious expressions and that employees can engage in conversations on religious topics “including attempting to persuade others of the correctness of their own religious views, provided that such efforts are not harassing in nature.”

Federal workers can also “encourage their coworkers to participate in religious expressions of faith, such as prayer, to the same extent that they would be permitted to encourage coworkers participate in other personal activities,” the memo said.

Of course they wouldn't. Then the MAGA scum toadies in the federal workforce can relentlessly pressure/intimidate others into becoming big fake Christians like they are, committing every last sin under the son while telling themselves they're holier than everyone else because they make a lot of noise about how they really love jesus.

What happened to work is about work, not DEI promotion. Religion should fall into DEI,

Now I am not American but if any coworker started to push their Religion ( any ) on me they will be rebuffed and if continued mocked

This all sounds like something out of Revelation or Daniel, really.

You're sitting in the break room. Just *trying* to enjoy the last half of the disgusting Krispy Kreme. IT's stale. It's only 9:37am. on a mother****ing Tuesday.

In walks CHAD with his brand new God's Victorious Army bible. Chad wants to know if you've heard the good word today, and why isn't it "Jesus".

If all beliefs/non-beliefs are allowed to this, fine.

However, there is a reason outside of political correctness as to why we try to limit these types of conversations in the workplace: they aren't productive, they tend to sow resentment which then boils into annoying office-place drama/gossip.

Why the **** would anyone want to proselytize at work?

What kind of a weirdo do you have to be to do that?
I was taught that religion is a very personal thing and it is very bad manners to ask anyone what religion they are. I don't think this is going to fly very far in New England.

I cant wait for the Satanists to get equal time in their belief that Satanism is correct.
Displaying pentagrams and statues of Baphomet, keeping Levay's Bible on their desk, explaining over lunch how Lucifer is a more consistent and fair entity...gonna be bigly!

As long as all religions are respected equally, and no one is imposing their religious views on others or through policy, I really don't have a problem with this. Unless, it becomes problematic.

An at-the-time Fortune 30 American based global corporation I once worked at, let Muslims have their prayer time in a vacant conference room, where they could close the door and perform their religious obligations in a solemn environment.

None of us were offended, and by our accepting and providing for their need, it fostered a greater sense of team inclusiveness among us all. Those of us that were non-Muslim were pleased that we worked in such a caring environment, as that caring also manifest itself in a lot of other policies that contributed to our quality of life.

I would bring in some satanic stuff and tell any religious asshole to go **** themselves if they ever tried to pursuade me to join in their psychosis .

Members of conservative protestant religions, especially in the South, are encouraged to witness (share details about their personal faith with others) and evangelize. Being on the receiving end is cringey to say the least.
Mike Johnson is THRILLED about this, I guarantee.

I look forward to seeing the SS office breaking five times a day to pray to Allah.

We had that at a Fortune 30 corp, where I once worked. They prayed in an unused conference room. It worked-out well, and caused no disruption or animus. In fact, it fostered a greater sense of team unity.
