As of early April, Trump has told 23.3 lies per day in 2020, a 0.5-lie increase since 2019. What’s more, Trump has averaged 23.8 lies per day since the first case of COVID-19 was reported in the US — another 0.5-lie increase. Even during a pandemic, when the public needs to trust and rely on him the most, deception remains a core part of the president’s playbook.

What’s unusual about Trump is not just how often he lies, but what he lies about and where he communicates his lies most often.
 
I evaluated Trump’s 18,000 reported lies organized by topic. If Trump lied consistently, we would see a relatively flat distribution of falsehoods over time and across topics. Instead, bursts of deception tend to repeat on the same topic, particularly about guns, the economy, education, and elections.

I'm shocked this is America's top representative. I hear the world leaders are now thinking of China as more stable than America because of Trump. I never thought I'd see the day when China appears more stable than the U.S. of A. It's just bonkers.

I watch him lie, and fumble his word ball and just shake my head in embarrassment. Ugh. :(

I don't trust Trump because I've lived long enough to know that all presidents lie. Does this mean I am defending Trump?
Hell no. Only trying to point out that if one expects their presidents to not lie, they're not being realistic.

Comparing Trump's lying to other POTUS's lying is like comparing an armed robber to a jaywalker.

If your critical thinking skills are so poor you think they're equivalent, as you seem to be saying, I feel very sorry for you. But maybe you know better...and you're just defending Trump as always?

Who the hell sits around counting lies all day and who gets to decide what's a lie? These people sound like they need some real help, mental help that is.

Maybe it takes three or three thousands posts about his lies that will eventually make you stop and think about the destruction his lies cause. The OP isn't counting his lies, there are journalists and fact-checkers all over the world counting his lies. He's a sociopath liar, he will lie about the color of his red tie.
